I haven't been playing Minecraft for long, but I have had a couple ideas that might be fun.
Chair: Crafted similarly to Stairs, a chair would be made out of 3 blocks of wool and 3 blocks of wood planks.
You would sit in it by right clicking and get out by left shifting. When you right click while sitting, you can control the game speed (200%-500%) allowing you to pass the game time by more quickly (so if you need to wait on something for some reason, you can speed up the wait time.
Bait Station: A Bait Station is a hunting staple and could be used to help attract certain types of creatures.
You would need 6 planks and a stick
When you have it made, you can place it. Once placed, you can right click it. It has 1 inventory space. If you place a food item inside, the item will appear on top of the bait station and acts as though it is a player holding the item (attracting creatures nearby that like the food).
More importantly, it would increase the spawn rate of that type of creature in that area (normal spawning restrictions would apply). This would be useful for those (like me) who can't find a wolf to save their lives
Ideally, it would be nice if each hostile mob got a food type associated with them so you could "bait" monsters as well.
