My absolute favourite thing to do in minecraft is to brew potions. I even have MCOCD, where I have to have at least 2 potions in my inventory. Yet I still think the system can be improved, I think the whole system is to simple. All of the base and reverted stuff, doesn't actually effect the potions. That's why I have come up with this idea.
More bottles
The first part, as you can probably guess, is about glass bottles. You can fill up glass bottles with four new things. But filling them is actually quite hard, and/or costly
Lava bottles
The first is lava. Lava bottles can be filled just like water bottles, but obviously with lava instead. A lava source block can only fill three bottles before it disappears, making it a somewhat costly exercise. The texture is jus the same as a lava bucket, but in a bottle instead
Venom bottles
Venom bottles can be filled with venom from... yep you guessed it, cave spiders. But there's a twist. its easy enough to trap a cave spider spawner and fill bottles from above, so to prevent that, you have to be within biting range of the spiders. Sounds fun doesn't it? the bottles texture is like water, except green
Wither essence bottle
Yep, wither essence.. you can probably guess how it is filled. After summoning the wither, and getting it down to the ground, just right click with a bottle, and you get your very own wither essence bottle. (Note: if your in a cave, you can extract the essence wile it's 'flying'. You can also do so when its charging up, but you will probably get blown up ). The texture is a grey colour, and has a gaseous look to it.
Soup bottle
simple enough, right click a Mooshroom... if you can find one. the texture is the same colour as mushroom soup.
Making new potions Each bottle has its own potions that work better with it while the rest work slightly worse. And all require a different ingredient than netherwart to turn into awkward potions. And not only that but they all have a new kind of potion that can only be made with that type of bottle.
Lava bottle The lava bottle requires magma cream to turn into an awkward potion. Lava bottles make better potions of fire resistance as they last for longer, and better potions of strength, as they are more potent. But they also make terrible potions of water breathing. The potion only makeable via a lava bottle is called a potion of flame. As the name suggest it sets whatever mob it hits aflame. 'But potions of poison do practically the same thing' I hear you say, well potions of flame inflict damage faster, and do 3 hearts of damage each time. but the downside is that it leaves them with 5 hearts left. Adding glowstone makes the potion inflict more damage each time but it doesn't last as long which means it does the same amount of damage, but faster. adding redstone will make it last longer but will work slower. even still it will do more damage. Any potions made with a lava bottle will have a red aura instead.
Venom bottle The venom bottle, quite obviously needs a normal spider eye, to turn it into an awkward potion. It makes better potions of poison and weakness and worse potions of healing. The venom bottle requires an new type of spider eye to make the new potion type. The new spider eye is called an evil spider eye and is crafted as such

When brewed with awkward venom potions, it makes a potion of poison III. this potion is practically the same as a potion of poison, but leaves the target with 4 hearts... unless they were missing a heart to start with, then it leaves them with 3, ant if they were missing 4 to start with, the poison will kill them! exciting huh? Adding glowstone will make a potion of poison IV, which does more damage and will leave them with one heart left, which means after a single punch, any mob will be killed when hit by it. Redstone makes it last longer, leaving them with only half a heart from full hearts also. Any potion brewed with this bottle is green, no matter what its normal colour is.
Wither essence bottle
The wither essence bottle requires a ghast tear to become an awkward potion. It makes better potions of harming and slowness, but makes worse potions of regeneration. The wither essence awkward potion, when brewed with a ghast tear again, makes a potion of withering! When drunk, your health is withered away and given to the nearest mob, but when thrown as a splash potion gives whatever mob it hits, health to you. If brewed with redstone, the effect lasts longer, obviously. But if brewed with glowstone it becomes a potion of withering II, which doesn't do anything special... unless your health is full, in which case a quarter of the damage taken by the mob is turned into absorption health for you, and lasts for one minute. Well worth the price, wouldn't you say? Any potion brewed with a wither essence bottle doesn't have an aura.
Soup bottle
It may seem like the worst of the lot, but it is totally my favourite. It requires normal netherwart to become an awkward potion, and makes better potions of healing, water breathing and swiftness, but worse potions of slowness. When brewed with an enchanted golden apple makes... a potion of numbing!... not very excited? you will be when I tell you what it does. The potion of numbing reduces, but not completely eliminates, any status effects, including being on fire! Meaning you wont be as slow when a witch hits you with a potion of slowness, you can see further when blind, last longer in lava, have more hearts left when poisoned, and anything else you can imagine. Sounds too good to be true, well it is. This potion also reduces positive effects. Even ones gained from a beacon. Brewing it with redstone makes the effect last longer, and brewing it with glowstone makes it reduce effects further. Any potion brewed with a soup bottle has a little mushroom floating in it
Thank you for reading my idea, and I hope you like it, if so, then please say so and maybe even give me one of these, . If you don't like it, PLEASE tell me why, and how you think it could be improved.

I do not care about your dragon, I will not click it, it is not real, and I hope it dies in a fire.
Sorry, but I don't see how any of this is "even better". All of these are shortcuts to making an Awkward Potion, rather than going to the Nether and finding some Nether Wart there.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
to start brewing in the first place, you need blaze rods, which can only be found in the nether, in nether fortresses, where you will almost always find netherwart. and the wither essence requires wither skeleton heads, which can also only be found in the nether. I don't want to make it easier, I simply want to add new aspects to it.
