Beds are useless.Sure they set your spawn point and let you skip to daylight (for noobs), but you don't have any fun with beds.

Dreams are made when you go to bed. After your screen turns black while sleeping, you enter a dream. Dreams are basically easy hardcore worlds, with the hardcore aspects of it being that once you die, you enter a new dream. It is on whatever difficulty you are currently on. It is basically survival with cheats off, bonus chests off in a normal world with the seed "mcdream".
Do you have control over if you go through one or not? If no, then this is gonna annoy the hell out of players who want to just continue playing the normal game.
But that is not all! You can sometimes have "special" dreams, which take you into a whole different scenario. There is a 1 out of 100 chance you can get a special dream.
A "special" dream? You mean like the ones where Katy Perry and Beyonce do a tag team lap dance on me? Then when I wake up, I'm never able to wear the same sweatpants ever again?

Minecraft is a freebuild game that doesn't have much "gameplay" to it. You just do anything and you're playing the game. But, if Minecraft was turned into some minigame/RPG like Super Mario Bros or something, I would just not play it at all. Period.

I guess it could be a fun minigame, I suggest a dream where you spawn in a giant building or giant vilage and get a stack of tnt and levers. You wake up when you run out of tnt or die.
well. I consider bed OP due to the fact that you can play on hardcore and avoid nearly all hostiles while above ground. so sense i disagree with your number one supporting claim for this suggestion. i guess ill have to say i do not support this suggestion.

No support at all. The only reason I use beds are if I'm trying to build something or farm and I don't want to be bothered by mobs. I dont want to wait 10 minutes to play some dream.

you have given me a good idea concept to adventure map now, this idea not really useful but anyways dream world sounds like dimention idea. but it sounds like something would be good in mods but not in vanilla.

I don't support, but you are wrong if you think Minecraft is "just" a building game. Combat, potions, enchanting, etc. Building is a part of Minecraft, but not all.
