When farming on Minecraft I notice the hassle of speed of placing crops and collecting them, and the inconvenience of mobs stopping my way to my wheat farm, and I remembered the video in science class I watched earlier, of horses moving simple machines to make farming quicker and more convenient.
What I propose is a machine that can be tethered to horse for use in farming.
The machine once made, has a GUI that pops up when you right click on it, with slots for tools, fuel, and the collected crops. (if you are using it as a harvester).
What the machine does depends on what you put in the tools slot. It could plant crops with seeds, speed up growth with bonemeal, till soil with a hoe, or hack crops down with a sword, which the tools with durabillity would wear down as you use them.
The horse would travel at the same speed, maybe a slight decrease as it's carrying this tool on it's back, but not a loss you would notice, The horse also does not trample the crops down with this machine attached to it.
