Introduction
Ever since the mobspawner and saddle was released, an influx of suggestions about mob taming has been introduced. But let me assure you, that this could possibly be the best, most original mob taming idea you've ever heard.
Pokemobs, or "pocket mobs" could possibly be the next big thing in minecraft. In order to obtain Pokemobs, the player must first craft a pokecube with their crafting table. Pokecubes, while following the same basic crafting pattern, can be made with stronger materials to increase the catch rate of the mob. Here are the crafting templates for pokecubes and their names.
Basic Pokecubes []
This is the wood pokecube. It is the weakest pokecube available, but also the cheapest.

This is the stone pokecube. It is a little more effective than the wood pokecube.

This is the iron pokecube. It is the second strongest pokecube available.

This is the diamond pokecube. It is the strongest pokecube, but consequently the most expensive.
Special Pokecubes

This is the explosion pokecube. It has a higher chance of catching creepers, and a lower chance of catching everything else.

This is the meat pokecube. It has a higher chance of catching hungry mobs like zombies and spiders, but is very ineffective against pigs.

Catching Pokemobs
Due to the pokemob catching formula, just throwing a pokecube at a pokemob will not yeild a high success rate. The player must first battle the pokemob to a weak state, and then use the pokecube. The stronger the pokemob is, the harder it will be to catch, but fortunetly, the player may use stronger pokecubes or inflict status effects like "burning", "drowning", or "trapped" in order to increase success. The pokemob catch rate formula would be somewhat like this:
Chance = Cube (((TotalHP x 4 - CurrentHP x 2) x CatchRate)/ TotalHP)+ Status + 1
Pokemobs
There are three main pokemob groups, weak, strong, and legendary. Obviously, Weak will be easy to catch, while legendary will be extremely difficult. After a while, some pokemobs are able to transform, or mutate into different pokemobs. These are called "mutations". Below are the pokemob's name, special ability, moves, and mutations.
(Level 1)-Weak Pokemobs Name: Pig Special ability:Mount:can be ridden by the player Moves: Push, Oink, trample, and ham Mutation: ->

Conclusion
With this new system, players will be able to tame monsters and place them in dungeons, as well as battling other players to be the best. I truly believe this system is revolutionary and i hope it is added to the game.

Wow, you can't be serious. Pokemon doesn't even fit in with the style of Minecraft... at all, and Notch would get sued since Pokemon is copyrighted and Notch is making profits off of Minecraft. Oh, and your last statement is incredibly ironic. This was more of a crackly wheeze of polluted, dirty air for me.
