Inspired by a recent suggestion by rarekwiebus about an unmineable ore. I'm proposing pistonium, a new ore. Let's put it in one of the new biomes. I'd say Disco Hills is probably a good candidate.
Pistonium has the strength and blast resistance of bedrock. You simply cannot mine it or explode it. But, it's pushable by pistons.
The texture is a smooth-stone base with inlaid mini pistons. It should be made to tile a bit like brick, so that it looks awesome when you make a house out of it.
This block is so hard to build with, it wouldn't be worth a griefer's time. But for your serious pranker, this is the perfect block. It's also good for protecting your house from all but the most determined griefers.

Edit: I wanted to acknowledge a pretty widely suggested tweak to the idea:
Pushing with a piston into an unmovable block would cause pistonium to pop, allowing for transport. With obsidian and a piston, you can make this a viable block that dramatically reduces the tedium of the concept while preserving the aspects that OP finds desirable.
NexTheRenzor was the first to say it, but it was also suggested by my friend Ryan when I told him about it, and also WingPwny mentioned it in a PM to me. yoshi9048 developed it a bit more. I still don't actually agree with this tweak, because I feel like it makes pistonium too similar to obsidian, which I was trying to avoid.
I'm not against the idea of a block that's only attainable via piston, but I personally don't think it fits for pistonium.
Edit again: here's another development from Crimsollite:
When Pistonium is broken via being pushed with a piston, it drops a single block of something along the lines of "Broken Pistonium". This looks exactly the same as regular Pistonium, but it can be broken by hand at the same rate as, say, stone brick. This would eliminate the problem of people being able to super-troll with it.
How in the world would you get it for your house. It's indestructible. I don't see a point in this block. Plus it will clutter up space as an ore. Spaceboots1 everybody, bringing these kind of ideas.
If its unmineable how would we use it to defend our houses exactly? Push it by piston block by block from a random cave to our house? No thanks.
That's the idea. If you don't want it, you don't have to obtain it. There are plenty of other good blocks, like obsidian. But for those who need a challenging block to obtain, this would be the ultimate.

It's not just cool for pushing back to your house, though. It's a fun challenge to build around these unmineable blocks if you're building underground. It's a neat extra piece of scenery.

What if someone actually wants to build an underground base. Then some random pistonium generates and it will just be a nuisance. Why don't you try in survival right now, get a piston and try to bring a whole wall of iron ore up to the surface. Try and record it.
We don't need another indestructible block, and pistonium would be really annoying when mining. I would be fine if it was blast resistant and movable by pistons, but destructible and tough.

It's fun to have to push blocks using pistons every time you build underground? You must be fun.
Its one thing to trap someone in obsidian, but eventually they can smash their way out with their hands. Griefing to the max, however, if you can put this around someone. No escape for them, besides getting someone to sticky piston the blocks back. Same with putting it around chests. Unless you make sticky pistons to pull it off of the chest, its as good as gone. One might say that pistons arnt that hard to make, and indeed, thats true, but these examples of griefing require sticky pistons. Which require slime balls. Best hope you live in a swamp.

All you have to do is push it into the wall or the floor or whatever. Yes, it's a nuisance, but it's part of clearing the area. You also have the choice of building around it, which could make some interesting structures. Also, I think it should only spawn in certain biomes (not sure which ones yet, but maybe one of the new ones for the next update).

I've done this with a vein of redstone blocks. Before I had a silk touch tool. It's doable.

Even you say it is a nuisance. Yet you want this to be added in the game. I don't know what you call fun where you come from, but for the rest of us, this is not fun. Think about how other people would feel about this.

I don't want it everywhere. Just one biome, maybe two.
But lots of things are nuisances. Lava pools are nuisances. Skeletons and zombies are nuisances. Mountains in your way are nuisances.

So basically moveable bedrock that spawns alongside normal ores? No. You say that it could make some interesting structures, but arguably so could any block. It seems to be more of an annoyance than anything.

At least they have a practical use. They are providing a good challenge to the gameplay, bringing about challenges and encouraging exploration. You are suggesting an ore that you must sit around and push for a couple of days. And having it spawn in a few biomes is not a good answer. There are many people wanting to build underground bases anywhere.

I don't think that tedious=challenging.
Being pushable by pistons doesn't help either.
