I want that now there is an elevator, and the button
in the elevator, too, there is a button, and if the elevator downstairs and I'm in the top of it when I was on the wall click on the button elevator rises
Hmm... That could work. It could be a 1x3 structure that goes up and down in a single-block hole. A button could be placed right outside the hole so that when pressed, the elevator would rise to that specific opening. If you would want to make the elevator accommodate more people, make the hole it rises into and out of a block larger and add another elevator.
It could be crafted with these materials, provided we use the 3x3 crafting method:
=Log or Woodx4
The problem being is that once inside, how could you make the elevator rise or fall?
I'd like it if you could place a minecart track on the floor of the elevator, that way, you could push your minecart onto the elevator, press the button and then push it along the track outside the place that the elevator stops.
It would make mining shafts alot easier.
Not to mention more "realistic". Real shaft mines had cart elevators, that connected to each level
In terms of controlling it, perhaps if you hit/right click it while looking up, it moves up until it reaches the next opening of sufficient size, and if you look down and hit it it goes down.
Also, how expandable would this be? Could you make a 3x3 elevator with it?
I like this idea if we get some sort of "power" other than Redstone, like waterwheels or steam or something. (Waterwheels seem a bit silly seeing as we could put them anywhere with the new water system, even enclosed behind a wall.)
