I had an extremely simple idea that would go very far.
My suggestion is giving the Jukebox the ability to loop, under the condition that the Jukebox has an active redstone current connected to it just before it loops. With this idea, music can be looped infinitely in custom maps without an awkward transition, and spawn/shop music can be added in multiplayer. The possibilities are endless.
i.e If redstone was active the first time it looped then it would continue, but if it was gone the second time the Jukebox would no longer loop said song, allowing the player to set how many times the Jukebox would loop.
I haven't thought out this idea all the way yet, but I was thinking simply that when the Jukebox was finished playing every loop, it would quickly emit a redstone signal out, making it activate contraptions or unlocking the ability to loop itself without the use of any repeaters or redstone. Just a thought though, and as always, thanks for reading.

Awesome Community Suggestions!
-Hoppers should interact with Jukeboxes (loading and unloading system) [Spaceboot1]
-It should have its own dynamic interface, allowing for the ability to shuffle, loop songs, ect. [Dragonheroblaze]
I really like this idea. I love the tunes C418 puts together, and I hate having to go put them back in after the song is finished. I do know that there are some glitches that allow for infinite loops, however I would like to not take advantage of the glitch.
Support.
Maybe just give the Jukebox its own interface so music discs can be stored, removed, played, shuffled, looped, etc.
I would also like to see this be added as an option onto the jukebox. Maybe a simple shuffle feature, but if you go into a menu you can select options?

llamaglama, dunklestein and burningleaf777 are friends at school. Sometimes we all use the school computers. Please don't ban us for alt accounts.
I thought I saw a suggestion floating around here somewhere that said hoppers should interact with jukeboxes. Personally that's my preference, because all you need is hoppers and you can create your own interface.

I agree, hopper/jukebox interaction would be awesome.
@OP: I believe that jukeboxes should have some improvements, too. Support.
To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
Support. I also want jukeboxes to be compatible with redstone currents so you could like press a button, and it could play whatever CD you have in their.
I tried hoppers with jukeboxes too,but with a different goal.Jukeboxes have interaction with comperators.they are not stackable.if they had interaction with hoppers i could create the biggest data storage. Each disc would be one bit. Not hexadecimal, because we dont have enough discs, but we could store 27 bits of data in a single block(chest/chest minecart).
Chests can store way more than that - all I-don't-know-how-many item ids in the game.

Why Minecraft mobs should NEVER have multiple attacks:
- No other PC mobs do. - Mob behaviour is intended to be simple.
Why you should NOT name new "special ability" weapons as "XXX Swords":
- No other swords have special abilities. - Make a new kind of weapon.

Well, not my business.
Dinnerbone has added looping jukeboxes and i enjoyed it a lot, but then he removed them for some reason.
Old? How dare you say that the same year the thread was started?
Anyway, I think it was and still is an interesting, promising Idea and that it still deserve attention.
I support.
