Hello! I am not sure does everybody want this, but probably a lot would want this. Well, I would.
In Survival Test [Old Minecraft version, survival version of classic] spiders had their old texture, what looks amazing. It is so fitting in Minecraft, I believe. Heres an Image of the old spider:


This does not have to replace the current one, like horses spawn with different textures [max 35 combinations], spiders would spawn with a black or a brown texture. It would give the game more look.
People asked, how often spiders would spawn with this skin?
-They are intended to spawn less frequently than black spiders, but if this is imbossible to be done, then there is 50% chance that it will be black, and 50% that it will be brown.
PEOPLES SUGGESTIONS:
- Randomobs off/on switch, I agree.

Pointless. I don't want this. No support. I like the newer texture better, and I would rather always see the new one than sometimes see the old one.

Yeah, but it does give the game more look, rather than having every mob in the game look all the time the same.

My own suggestion would allow that. The reason I'm saying that isn't because I'm advertising but because honestly, I think that the old texture is rather ugly. It would stand out completely to the darker colors of the current Minecraft textures. I wouldn't want this texture to appear in vanilla.

I do want some variation, I think it's nice, but if I had to take a variation in spider texture, it wouldn't be this one.

Like Prenup said, several different textures and a chance of a polygon removed or added to each mob would be fantastic, and I think this is a good place to start.

I support! This is a great idea! It would probably only take them what, a half hour to put it in game, and texture pack makers wouldn't need to add a new one, Their original pack texture for spiders would fill in the gap.

We need different looking mobs because I doubt all the zombies are the same. Older spider texture is awesome!

Oh my god! I didn't expect this much feedback... Yes, it would be easier for pack makers, easy to add in-game, and makes the game look better. I hope random blocks will come someday..

How many times something has been added to Minecraft what were suggested?
I believe 0-2...
I think that Mojang/Jeb don't read these at all ;( I hope they do. It says that Mojang will check some posts, so I hope they do some, Including this

This texture would make spiders look more realistic, as the spiders with this texture look like wolf spiders, which are big, hairy, and if they bite you they give you a painful poisonous bite. I support!
