Well the Anvil is something you make with 3 iron blocks and 4 iron ingots. but if you want to save the iron, how bout we spawn them in NPC village blacksmiths. I know you are most of you are either like, "what?" or "something you might be interested in"
but my point behind this is, real blacksmiths have them.
and it would make the blacksmith villager have his forge look more realistic looking.
I know villagers and villages are probably the mostly talked about on suggestions but, I'm only talking about the blacksmith.
@GADGE4LYFE) yes true, but to me, NPC villages are spread out far away. and its common to find one with a blacksmith. its uncommon to find one without a blacksmith. and usually I build my houses on survival in NPC villages with blacksmiths. (For the valuable trades)
but otherwise, this was just an idea and my first post that involves a poll.
@Nsta8) give it a chance rate, I would say you get a 25% chance for a perfect condition and 50-75% chance for a damaged one or a badly damaged one, sounds fair to you?

Really, not everything is handed to you. I don't get why you can just go mining for 31 iron. IMO, caves have tons of exposed iron, and I feel like Blacksmiths already have too much.
No support.
Villages give you trading, shelter, materials, iron armor and tools, apples, obsidian, bread, torches, bookshelves, and diamonds, and now you want an anvil? No support. Iron is common.

What do you mean NO? How should a blacksmith make anything when he has a stone block instead of a anvil? what a...mor...
Well, an anvil is quite expensive, considering it consumes 31 iron.
Maybe a 50% chance of very damaged, 25% chance of damaged, and 10% chance of a perfect anvil to spawn in a village. After all, villages don't have blacksmiths all the time.

How do you mash some diamonds, the hardest minerals known to science, into a sword or functioning pickaxe? How do you, in fact, take five iron ingots, and, without a forge, turn them into a minecart? Same with other iron-related objects. How come it takes five entire cowhides to make a helmet, but only five diamonds to make a helmet of the same size?
Don't try to call me a moron.

Half the villages I find don't even have a blacksmith, so It wouldn't be too bad at all.
