So I looked through the forum and haven't seen anything referencing this idea.
Here's what I thought,
After making some nice Armor or finding a nice gold plated zombie, we should be able to smelt down the armor into gold/iron bars again. I don't think it should work with diamond because that wouldn't really make since to me but if that's what you guys want then w\e. But I think it only makes since that if you put gold pants into the furnace and add some heat you should get gold bars output. Less than what it takes to make pants, and less for the amount of damage it has taken/durability it has left. This would be a nice addition. Especially when you get some gold armor off a zombie as mentioned above. It doesn't provide the greatest armor but I would like to get those gold bars. The reason I didn't think diamond should be "recraftable" is because diamond is a hard substance and it would be crazy hard to turn diamond into something like pants and then get it back into blocks of diamond again.
Let me know what you guys think. Lets get this thread rolling.
imagine having a zombies/skeleton farm, armor drops are not that uncommon, just go afk for like 20 minutes, and kill them all and ull prob get a full set which is about 28 gold/iron which will get op very quickly, not to mention diamond armor can drop as well
