Before the new launcher installing mods was as easy as childbirth. okay...well maybe a bit easier
However due to the new launcher all the files in the ".minecraft" folder are diffrent and installing mods is now more of a hassle than ever.
It's a complex process to install just a single mod now!
In 1.5 you could just use forge/magic launcher without having to worry about any specific file, It was a drag n' drop operation of mods to a folder and * * your mod is installed.
My suggestion is, why not make the new launcher similar to magic launcher and have a folder where you can put your mods in and have the option to enable/disable the mods you want in whichever version profile you wish. I am positive I am not the only one who has these troubles because there are currently tons of videos on how to install certain mods into the game,However they all have too many steps and processes...
You know..there is a little "upwards arrow" button at the bottom right corner. It appears much more appreciative than repeating something :3 Just sayian...
Thank you! my apologies for cluttering the formu with this post, however I did not know about it.
Exactly what is it this will change though?

The plugin API will introduce a new way for mod creators to develop and distribute Minecraft mods (now called plugins). The API gives developers the ability to modify and enhance Minecraft, without editing the base classes, thus eliminating the need to re-write mods for each version. Plus, now plugins can be placed in a central plugin repository, which will be accessed in-game, allowing players to download and install plugins without any technical knowledge, or external software. Plugins can be enabled on a per-world, per-server basis, so you can have finite control of what plugins effect which worlds, and servers can control exactly what plugins you use on them.
This feature has been in development for a while now, and the new launcher is a big step to make it possible. For now, conventional mod installation is a bit more difficult, but the potential for plugins is well worth the temporary problems we are experiencing in this transitional time.
