Like most people know, Giants are in the Minecraft code, but have not been implemented. They also have a lot of work to be done on them before they are added. The below information is how I think that giants should be implemented.
Where They Are:
There will be a new generated structure in plains biomes. They would be as common as desert temples are in desert biomes. It will be the giant camp. It would be a large flatlands area that is walled with wood. There would be an entrance to the camp on one side. (by entrance I mean hole in the wall). This camp will naturally have to be very large considering the huge size of the giant mob. There will be a chest in the far end of the camp. The chest contains these items.
50% of 3-5 Rotten Flesh
25% of 2-3 Raw Chicken
25% of 2-3 Raw Pork
25% of 2-3 Raw Beef
25% of 1-3 Damaged Iron Tools and Armor
50% of 2-4 Damaged Stone Tools
75% of 5-10 Wood Logs
60% of 1-2 Saddles
100% of 2-5 Bones
3-5 Giants will be present in each of these structures.
How They Act:
They will just walk around their camp and the area around it until the player either A: Opens their chest or B: attack one of them. These actions will cause all giants of the camp to attack the player. Also, the giant will attack all cows or pigs that get within 20 blocks of the camp.
How They Attack:
They will have 50 hitpoints (25 Hearts) and will attack in a similar fashion to an iron golem. By swinging their arms upward and flinging the player into the air a bit. Along with the little bit of fall damage, each attack would inflict 3.5 hearts of damage on the player. When giant is killed, it will drop one random damaged iron armor and 3-8 rotten flesh.
What Do They Look Like:
They will be about 25 blocks tall. They will be textured as a viking-like man with torn up clothes that are colored brown. He will also appear to have a metal belt. They will also carry an iron axe to attack with.
Hmm. Here's an interesting thought. How about making them spawn in ice plains, in rectangular prism-shaped houses made with huge slabs of stone, with a wool overhang on the door?
