Hey there, Aron or Jack here with another suggestion!
Intro:
The only way to get enchantments are with diamonds or alot of iron. I was thinking of a way that you could only get sharpness, on anything. (not hoes)

Main Idea
As a big survival player, I think there should be a way to get only sharpness without enchantments. Sure, you can make an anvil, but you need an enchantment book. Ever wanted a sharpness shovel? Use one of these!
Crafting Recipe
This recipe takes two parts.
Wheel:Imagine an iron chest.
Stables: E: Empty. S: Sticks

Why it would help
You would get a 100% sharpness enchantment. It would give a new "grind" (bad pun) to survival, pvp, and hunger games.
Downfalls
It would take enchantment levels. It would give you an option:
Sharpness 1: 1 level
Sharpness 2: 5 level
Sharpness 3: 10 level
Sharpness 4: 15 level
Sharpness 5: 20 level
I am open to to suggestions on how to make this idea better!

I'm afraid I cannot support this idea. It's just an enchanting table for sharpness itself, and an extremely easy way to guarantee that you get one of the best enchantments out there for swords. I don't particularly like the idea of an item--in this case, a grinding wheel--for a specific enchantment, either, as that would suggest new items specific to every enchantment; why one enchantment should get special treatment is beyond me.
By the way, you can put sharpness on any tool using an enchanted book.
Should be like a furnace and have a time limit that goes higher for different types of weapons.
Diamond 1 minute 30 seconds
Gold 1 minute 25 seconds
Iron 1 minute 20 seconds
stone 1 minute 10 seconds.
Wood shouldn't be able to be sharpened.
Also if left for to long over the limit then the weapon breaks. The stronger the weapon type the faster it breaks.
Diamond 2 seconds over.
gold 3 seconds over
Iron 4 seconds over
stone 8 seconds over.
Wood shouldn't be able to be sharpened.

More balancing at least.

OT: No support. I see no reason for this to be implemented.
