Personally, I don't like the redstone block crafting recipe. Why? Because it's redstone DUST. You can't just mash a bunch of dust together in a crafting table to get a block. So here's my idea: With the redstone, you put the redstone in a furnace and burn it. Once done, the result will be Hardened Redstone. Then you can put the hardened redstone in the same way as other mineral blocks and you get a Redstone block.
So are you going to suggest this with glows tone dust too? This is pointless and a waste of time. The point of the redstone block is a storage block and a redstone component. Minecraft does not need logic.

Agreed. I can't just stack 9 Iron bars together and they magically morph into a block in real life. But in Minecraft it is fine.

Redstone is easy to get (as for me) and I wouldn't waste my coals for this thing.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the Universe is for, it will be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
Sadly most crafting recipes just can't all make sense.
If dust can't make a solid block, then rubbing powerless redstone on a stick shouldn't make a powered torch, and three blocks worth of iron shouldn't be condensed into one block space for an anvil, and six cubic meters of wood shouldn't be able to make one door that magically comes wiht hinges and door knob attached (figuratively of course).
Crafting in Minecraft isn't all black and white. We'll never know what happens to leftover materials other than being "thrown away". We'll never know how dust can become a solid object. We'll never know why wooden and stone tools and weapons take entire blocks to craft but iron gold and diamond take ingots which are obviously much less than a block.
No support. This will only make a crafting recipe more difficult, it won't do anything to make Minecraft better.

2- this is not hard, its like real soil, make it wet and gather it and it will stand, maybe redstone is just like it
Yet I don't see you complaining about how you can punch down a tree with your bare fists.
