Hello guys, this is my 800th post, and I want to use that by suggesting something that I really want. Ender links.
But... what is an ender link? An ender link is something that lets you use nether portals in the end. But this could allow people to escape from an ender dragon.... well I'm going to show you how this works..
Currently you can't light a nether portal in the end to prevent escaping from the enderdragon, before or after the fight. I have tested this for your knowledge. With this idea you will be allowed to create and sync portals in the end, therefore letting you bridge out a couple of blocks
After the dragon...
Obviously that means after you kill the dragon, you can use these ender links. I have no idea how hard this would be to code, but it could just be something like "Ok this part is over, now this part is allowed" which I have seen in many video games.
If you tried to light the portal with an ender link or a flint and steel before the dragon, it would simply just fizz out, making the water touching lava sound. After killing the dragon, the portal WILL light... but how will it work?
How stuff works
I think this is a title of a TV show... anyways, on topic, this works by crafting the ender link first. Is this some item that you attach to the portal? No, it is the flint and steel for the nether portal in the end. This does not mean that flint and steel it pointless. You can still use it, just not in the end. It does not light fire as a nerf. The End=__Overworld blocks is in the poll.
It has an increased durability of 100, and in my opinion should be crafted in a shapeless recipe using flint and steel (Full durability), an ender pearl, and a nether brick.
What about overworld/nether portals, how will they sense that they connect with an nether-end portal? Well the ender links of course! Possibly 2 different portal data values can exist with the same textures or one slightly lighter, therefore making one only created by the ender link, letting it sync with both.
Warning: Once you go into a nether/overworld portal using a nether-end portal and the portal you come out through is a not ender-linked one, this could result in you not being able to get back to the end unless the portals are synced, therefore letting you travel back to the portal that is ender linked.
A new GUI/UI will be added, just a small selection when you enter the nether portal. Simply
Nether
End
Overworld
On the dirt background like normal. You get this GUI/UI by going through an enderlinked portal.
What if someone tosses an item through? It just appears on the last place selected. If the portal is brand new, default is nether.
What can this offer us?
It offers us something that might be used for redstone.. I'll list some things on my overused bullet list!
You can now make secret bases in the end (Far off from the endstone island) with a way to get back.
More efficient travel.
Offers many new redstone devices. Ask SimplySarc, he'll find something out.
Transport mobs to the end much easier.
I hope you liked this, even if you did not, please post a reply. I'd like to get as much feedback on the suggestion as possible. Unlike the other suggestions I made like bat boats, which got 100+ views, full support but only like 12 replies... I will kill you all.../rant This is what I'm talking about... 63 views: NO REPLIES
Ok I got some art for this. This is pretty much a bump to get feedback but it gets really annoying when yo have 98 views and the only reply is you trying to get some feedback. Or
Me holding the ender link
Me eating the ender link, I re skinned the potato, that's why
Obviously I could've done better but I just drew it randomly.
I voted "No" in the poll due to lack of a "maybe" or "Yes with changes" option.
From what I understand, this is simply allow portals to be made to and from the end, effectively allowing any 2 of the three dimensions to be linked together...?
If so, I'm afraid I do not support that... I see no benefit of this over the nether. Why is this worth adding?

I agree. There is no point, you can just build a portal room.

I told you the point. You can't make portals in the end, therefore if you want to go back, you need to go back to the mainland because that's where the dragon died.
With this you can bridge out and make a secret base, rather them having a huge obvious path.
I posted my points, so I'd rather you reply to that then acting like the reason never existed.

I might be getting someone to do some art for what this would look like. I have paint.net so I could possibly do this.
