I have been thinking, and I realized there are not enough bosses in minecraft. I have come up with a solutions to the problem, listed above. Poseidon Would have 100 hit points and be able to still water sources in his lair. The way you would be able to fid his lair would be to offer sacrifices of cooked fish. These would appease him and he would give you a water stone. There would be a crafting recipe for a "god finder" that would look for a lair of Poseidon and give you a area to Look for it in. It would have a underground structure resembling a strong hold and there would be a room in the center containing him. He would appear as a merman and have a long tail. He would then fight you with his golden trident and try to drown you. When he was killed, his drops could include a trident(70%), a sword of Poseidon(80%), and a lot of cooked fish. His trident could be used to call upon his brother, Zeus, and send a lightning bolt. Or an earthquake. It would have a 10 second cool down time and it would deal 7 hearts of damage when hitting something. It could be repaired in an anvil with gold ingots. The second weapon, the sword, would have an all new enchantment. It would have posedon's wrath, an enchantment that would deal extra damage when hit with it, and it could right-click on the ground to make a bucket of water. It could be repaired in an anvil with water stones. A stronghold would spawn at the same rate as an end stronghold and be as big as one too. It would be made out of mossy cobble and it would have random water spots.
To give him sacrifices, you would build an altar. It would not be a crafting recipe and when you did it and put a water bucket on it, it would say a message: "Poseidon is hungry! Appease his hunger!" at that point you would throw fish into the hole in the altar. ( I can make pictures tomorrow and I will put them on this thread.)Also, he would be in the sea. It's kind of boring, just endless water. Mabey we could have "Poseidon's spawn", some sea monsters that might attack you if you were in a boat.
Poseidon doesn't seem to fit with minecraft at all to be honest. A sacrifice sounds much too religious, not to mention there is a "God Finder". Minecraft isn't a very religious game at all. Even as a fish, a sacrifice sounds much too... Mature for a E rated game. Sorry, no support.
Well, how about if we called it a meal for the gods for now, just to make it reasonable. Also, many extremely popular mods have gods such as the ather or twilight Forrest. And gate fox, he does not try to kill you when you enter, you deal the first hit.
Also, Poseidon and Neptune are the same being. A car trunk doesn't stop being a trunk simply because you call it a boot.
Finally, outside of some really atrocious formatting that I got lost in, this suggestion suffers from a lot of the same problems I've seen from similar posters. They simply forget to add white space between paragraphs. This makes topics difficult to read and even more difficult to manage. I mean, you will eventually lose your place and forget where you was after you read line after line of slog. If you blink or take your eye away for a moment then you have to REREAD what you just read and the point of the paragraph in the first place is lost. Of course, this doesn't even matter for someone like me that puts the point of the paragraph in the first sentence and then expands the point in the rest of the paragraph, but that's beside the point. You need to properly space out your idea so people can read and understand everything you're saying. I mean, the idea of spacing between paragraphs has been classically instilled in every written language I know about for the past 5 thousand years from the advent of Egyptian Hieroglyphics to Chinese caricaturization. This means that something like line feeds post-date most languages as we know them; so saying "I'm not good at English" isn't an excuse especially since it is already present in EVERY KNOWN language. But what was I trying to say, oh I forgot. I think what I was trying to say is that you need to properly space out your idea so people can read and understand everything you're saying; it's so they don't get lost and confused and accidentally reread the same thing they just read. The point you was trying to make in the first place is lost.

... indention is good to.
OT; Interesting idea, though it seems to be more of a mod aspect as you literally name him a god.
And neither the aether not the Twilight forest mods have been added to minecraft.
