When i craft i don't know how to craft everything so i have to look it up which gets frustrating sometimes. So as a solution to this there should be a guide book in the crafting table when you craft. Just a little button on the side you press which brings up an alphabetical list of all craftable items and and a search bar for quickly finding items. Then when you click on an item it would show in the crafting slots a template of how to build your desired item.
Just a suggestion but this would be really helpful in the game.
The problem is, the MC Wiki is run by a third party that may or may not remain in operation for the duration of this game's life. A good developer would stay away from depending on such potentially unstable sources and include a guide (be it physical, ingame, or virtual) to rectify their project's learning curve.

Bingo. People find it so easy to forget that just because they have constant access to the internet, doesn't mean everyone else does. Look at what just happened recently with the Xbox One. They announced that you would have to connect once a day to play games and there would be restrictions to buying used games and borrowing games. All things that you would need the internet to bypass and play normally. People were outraged because not a lot of people have a stable internet connection all the time, if at all.
I understand that this is a game you need to download to play, at least on the PC. But I know tons of people who bought the game at a friend's house or on public internet, downloaded it, and play at home without internet. Also, what about soldiers who are overseas? Or anyone who just generally isn't around stable internet all the time.
The funny thing is, from my understanding this would be easy to make because the game stores every crafting recipe and the items associated with them. All it would need is a way to compile all the recipes and it can pull all name and image data strictly from the code. Dinnerbone could do this in a couple hours if he wanted. The best part is it could be done to be 100% mod compatible.

Well...
I don't know. I feel like this would ruin the whole concept of discovering new crafting recipes.
A better way to implement this would probably be like in Junk Jack, how you pick up randomly dropped pages that add one recipe to your crafting book.
"Sir, the enemy is attacking, we need to retreat, or counter attack!"
"Hold on, let me finish my house."
Pretty sure that deployed soldiers spend their time defending themselves and others, not playing minecraft.
Just a suggestion but this would be really helpful in the game.
