Ever since command blocks came out, I've wanted to make an awesome iPad. Unfortunately, where was the music? That got me thinking; What if there was a command for music? Typing in /music 12 1234 would play "Wait" for 1234 game ticks(looping) (Max time -1, meaning infinite). Typing /music stop would stop all music(Including normal in-game music). That is all, for now

Isn't it weird thatpalindrome is emordnilap backwards?
Sorry to reply a day late, but it'd be the in-game music discs, and maybe even the songs that randomly play.
However, I suggest that instead of the IDs of the music (which I don't know), the command uses the file names of the songs. Meaning I could do /music cat -1 to play "Cat" forever. Or /music calm2 60 to play 60 game ticks.
I support this idea. Minecraft is really, really in the need of some background sound. Ever gone caving for more than 30 minutes? It gets boring. Just the occasional sounds of flowing water and the popping of lava, and the rare groan of a zombie or clank of a skeleton. I'd love to be able to just write /music -song name- -length- into the chat to have something to listen to.

Thanks for the support, and the reason it uses the IDs is because, well, /effect nausea? Nope

Do the random background music have names or ids?
Yes, they do. This could be done much more simply by just allowing hoppers/redstone to activate jukeboxes.
