I have an Idea for two new arguments. If you do not know exactly what arguments are, then let me explain.
In a command block, you can set a command to only target a player who has a certain setting.
An Example would be:
/tp @a[r=5,rm=1] 1573 86 1742
This makes a player teleport to cordinates if they are within 5 blocks, and farther away than 1 block. Since the "r" checks how close they are, and the "rm" checks how far away.
My Idea is a new argument called "gamerule_[gamerule]".
Imagine if a command block could do something only if a certain gamerule was set to true. If it equals 0, then it requires the gamerule off, and if it equals 1, then it requires the rule to be one.
/give @a[gamerule_keepInventory=0] 50 5
This would give a player 5 torches if the "keepInventory" gamerule is off.
What this could do:
Imagine if you had command block on a timer to give everyone on the server a special item whenever a certain gamerule was on, so you just had to do a simple command to turn off and on the timer.
Example:
/give @a[gamerule_doDaylightCycle=1] 43 10 9
This command gives all players building sandstone (sandstone with the same texture on all sides, only available through commands and editors) when the day-night cycle is off. Then you turn it back on, and it stops giving people it.
My second idea for a new argument is "itemcount", and itemcountmin".
My idea is a command block argument is that it can only effect people with certain items.
The idea of "itemcount" is that you can only be effected if you have less items then the number, it would also have a "_" on the end of the argument, with the item ID next to it. The equal number would equal the amount of the item you have.
Example:
/give @a[itemcount_262=10] 262 1
This would be attached to a slow timer, and it would give you one arrow every once in a while, until you have ten. Imagine a map, where the archer only has ten arrows, and you have to reload after you fire them all.
"itemcount_min" would be just about the same, except it will only effect players with MORE than a certain amount of items, instead of less.
Example:
/tp @a[itemcount_min_22=1] 2146 47 1356
This would be attached to a pressure plate, and would teleport you somewhere as long as you have one piece of lapis. It wouldn't be lapis, it would be like a sort of key item, though you see my point.
Vote for my idea, if it reaches 20 votes for either of them, I will add pictures.
I am not sure if putting two similar ideas in the same topic, like this is allowed, so if the mods want me to, I will make this into two seperate topics.
