Ok, so the concept is simple:
The color of the "shine" on the tool/weapon/armor varies with the enchantment.
Helmet of Water Breathing - Light Blue Shine
Sword of Smite I - Red Shine
Sword of Smite II - Stronger/Deeper Red Shine
Bow of Infinity - Green Shine
Etc. etc.
Kind of like potions and how they have various colors. This would be useful for fighting mobs with enchanted loot, or players, gives you a slight heads up on what you're about the be hit with.
What could also be done is having the speed of the shine animation be faster the better the enchantment, and/or the direction the shine goes. Currently all tools shine identically, same speed, same direction. This could be randomized as well. Just gets kind of tedious having half your inventory line with identical purple shines.
Like the idea, but items with multiple enchantments would make the color... difficult
Well, yes, but it could just be a simple mix (Red+Yellow=Orange for example), but the main idea is to not have all items be purple. Just have some difference in color, how well the color corresponds to the enchantment is of less importance.
