First of all, I only recently found out savannahs where a biome at one point (recently=1 year ago)
So here it is in all it's glory: the Savannah biome. Warning: was thought of before I came up with thewhiterino, so yes, there will be rhinos.
So the savannah will be yellow, and dry. It will have tall trees with long branches spread across. You can also find water holes, which mobs normally come to. A new tall grass appears here, and is 1.5 meters tall. Most of it is the mobs, so here are the mobs:
Rhinos:
Yeah yeah, scream all you want about my avatar. It won't do much. Rhinos have 30 health, making them fairly strong. They are also somewhat slow, and will attack you if you hit them. You can also find baby rhinos, but they are rare. If you do, you will not find it's mom. Some may find that the baby are orphans, with their parents killed by lions. If you give a baby 3 milk, it will be tamed. give it melons, potatoes ,wheat or carrots. after 20 days of being tame, they will become fully grown unless they are in a space to small. but once out of that, they grow to adulthood.
Picture:
None yet. I will upload it.
lions:
Kings of the jungle, they could spawn in also jungles as a reference to this. lioness attack other animals, but only 40% of lions attack players but 100% will in self defense. They have 25 health and do 2 and a half hearts of damage on medium. They spawn in 3-11, with 1 loin, 2-8 lionesses and 0-3 cubs. the cubs will not attack.
Zebras:
Pretty much the pig of the savanna. It is two blocks tall and sometimes seems to be eating.
As I guess the rhinos will only spawn in savannahs, i think it's ok, but making a whole new biome that differs from plains just by a big tree here and there, i don't think it's necessary.
Neutral Rhinos could be fine, but 50 hp? so about 8 strikes with a diamond sword?
What should rhinos drop? Meat? Or horn?
after all except from being neutral, i see no difference to what we already have
I don't think it should be a horn, because horning is one of the main reasons why rhinos are on the verge of extinction, so it could be meat. 50 is a bit much, so more like 30 or around 25 hearts.
I did not think of the babys like this before, but because they spawn alone hints that they are orphaned or separated from their parents, so milk sounds good. melons could heal the tamed baby rhino. How does that sound? I'm going to add loins and the a new tall grass, at 1.5 meters high.
EDIT: In the OP now, don't be shy to let your opinions out!
