After reviewing my previous post on the suggestion, I would like to further elaborate my suggestion.
I would like to suggest that, mob spawners are able to spawn mobs in a particular team.
That is, probably, to add an optional NBT tag team for mobs and and if they have a team, then the value of this tag is the respective team they are in.
Let me give a simple application here:
Suppose there are two teams, namely, Red and Blue.
Here I have a monster summoner (?) in team Red, and many defenders in team Blue.
In every particular period of time, some mobs will be spawned, which are all in team Red.
(Let's assume the mobs consist the NBT tag team=Red)
The monster summoner are friendly to these mobs, yet the mobs are still hostile to the others.
I'm happy to receive every comment from everybody.
And another idea by this popped up.
The mobs in different teams will eventually get to a fight into each other.
Consider the following relationships:
Team Red + Team Blue = Battle
Team Red + Team Red = Neutral (with each other)
Team Red + No Teams = Neutral (with each other)
No Teams + No Teams = Neutral (with each other)
(Note: The mobs spawned naturally has no teams)
Advantages:
- It will not be a big burden for the game, as the NBT tags are not necessarily applied to every mob spawned.
- It could provide more custom map ideas for the map makers.
Disadvantages:
* Please provide if you think of. Thank you.
So instead of targeting us and saving their health, they kill each other, making it easier for us to kill them? No support.
Not quite.The OP wants this to be NBT editable.For adventure maps like Herobrine's Return.

You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.

I think I should clarify that they will kill each other if they have joined a team.
Moreover, they could only join a team by modifying their NBT structures.
Maybe they can be described as... 'soldiers' in a battlefield?

I'd never played DotA, but I think they are similar?

Or they can spawn with the name in Red if they are in team Red (or so).
Please let me know if there is room of improvement for my suggestion (I do know there's a lot).
