I am trying to make a tnt-less trampoline in minecraft that works in survival and gives no fall damage and I have concluded that it cannot be done without a cushion block of sorts. It would stop any fall damage if landed on. I thought that a spring could be used in crafting and could be a rare drop from a magma cube (as they appear to have a spring like structure in their core). It could then be combined with say, wool and a slime ball and you have a block that prevents fall damage! Any other crafting ideas please post.
While it seems like you've just suggested this because of your own personal problem, it's not a bad idea. Maybe even just plain wool could prevent fall damage? I mean, wool's pretty soft.
To creepy djole,
Like crimsolite said, even wool could work, and maybe no springs.

You can make a TNT-less trampoline with the jump boost effect from a command block
I think the command is /effect @a[r={radius wanted: 4 works best}] 8 {duration} {level}. Put the command block under the surface connected to a fast clock.
Also, how does one make a TNT-less trampoline?

Sponges, they are used in real life as a cushion.

Curse PremiumAbout the idea... I wouldn't use it but I don't think adding an item for the sole purpose of crafting another item is needed.
