Minecraft has quite a few potions that can make life a lot easier. Below are the potions that are available, not potion effects. I will include what they do for those that don't know. Those potions would be
Positive
• Potion of Swiftness- Increases movement speed.
• Potion of Strength- Increases how much damage an entity deals.
• Potion of Healing- Instantly recovers a set amount of health.
• Potion of Regeneration- Gradually recovers health over a set time.
• Potion of Fire Resistance- Protects entities' from fire and lava damage.
• Potion of Invisibility- Turns you or other entities invisible.
• Potion of Night Vision- Allows visibility in the dark.
Negative
• Potion of Slowness- Reduces movement speed.
• Potion of Harming- Instantly reduces a set amount of health.
• Potion of Weakness- Reduces how much damage an entity deals.
• Potion of Poison- Gradually reduces your health for a set time.
Here are how many other potions are in the code, but not available.
Positive
• Potion of Haste- Increases mining speed.
• Potion of Leaping- Increases jump height.
• Potion of Ressistance- Lowers the amount of damage an entity takes.
• Potion of Water Breathing- Stops the air bar from draining underwater.
Negative
• Potion of Dullness- Decreases mining speed.
• Potion of Nausea- Limits visibility by warping the screen.
• Potion of Blindness- Limits visibility similar to void fog.
• Potion of Hunger- Gradually decreases hunger.
• Potion of Decay- Gradually lowers health over a set amount of time or until death. Makes it difficult to keep track of health.
As you can see, quite a few useful potions are missing, especially negative. The negative ones would be especially useful for traps or PVP, and the positive just for making life easier. Now, to make potions, you obviously need ingredients. If Mojang were to fully implement these potions, they would need ingredients. Or would they? Minecraft has two potions with no use at the moment, the Thick Potion and the Mundane Potion. All Mojang would have to do is make it so you would use the present ingredients on these potions to make the unused ones. Another thing they could do is give the poisonous potatoes a use to make several of these potions, or perhaps some new ones. Tell me what you guys think about my idea, and I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and ideas on it as well.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Minecraftia, a world of peace yet danger, a world of light yet darkness, a world of good yet evil. Every good thing you see has it's evil counterpart, evenly matching the power of the two. I intend, however, to simplify things down to one part, which just happens to be evil."- The Infector
