I doubt I'm not the only person who thought it would be cool to have spikes. Here's how you would make them, I explain later.
These have a verity of uses.
First, you can make a trap. Actually a few.
You can place spikes on the ground or on the wall. They take up one block. They're pretty much just a cone, or a spike. It is dark grey.
You could lay it on the ground beneath a trapdoor. When you go down, you fall onto them. The first time you hit them, it takes away 6 health (3 hearts). Then every second, it takes away 1 health (half heart). It has the same durability of cobble stone. The best too to use is a pickaxe. You can also load them into dispensers.
When you hit the redstone signal, it will shoot the spike. It does the same damage as arrows. But when it hits, it stays in you for 6 seconds. It does 1 damage every two seconds (half heart).
You can also use them with arrows. To make one, put a spike on the top, a stick in the middle, and a feather on the bottom. It looks like an arrow, but black. It has the same stats as shooting a spike from a dispenser.
If you have any other ideas, please comment. Please also give feedback. Thanks for reading.
I support. Maybe lessen the dispencer thing, or no one would ever use arrow in them again. Like less damage, or the fall quicker; they only go 10 blocks or so?
Sorry but Mojang thought about implementing this a looonnnggg time ago but they decided against it and gave us sticky pistons instead. Seriously, it was either sticky pistons or spikes.
