Okay, so we have two bosses, currently. A nether boss (Wither) and the end boss, (Ender Dragon.) So, we are missing one dimension, the overworld. So I do have an idea for this, but as soon as you see it you will flip out, get angry, and say, "Oh yeah. Another one of these threads. But hear me out. My idea, is that we make that boss Herobrine.
Now stop! Don't leave yet, I actually have a reasonable way to make this work. And such a good story shouldn't go to waste. Now he wont mess with your creations, or steal your items, or make weird pyramids. He will simply be a boss. That's all and it. He wont have super powers that eat your soal with a 1 hit kill. He will be the easiest boss, because he is the overworld boss.
I was considering an altar made of 4 smooth stone and 4 mossy cobblestone. In the center is a diamond block, set the diamond block on fire and Herobrine would appear. It would look like this: http://imgur.com/vS0Fp0T
Fighting him wouldn't be insanely hard either. He would have 25 Hearts, and could possibly create monsters to fight for him (Probably NOT creepers.) Once he reaches 50% Health, he will get a charge around his body (The charged creeper animation, preferrably only his head) and he will begin striking lightning at you, that only damages 3.5 - 5.5 hearts, he will strike you with these every 4-6 seconds or so. At this point he will take 15% less damage, and stop spawning monsters. The fight so far isn't so overpowered. Once he reaches 25% Health, he will no longer strike lightning, the charge around his body will be replaced with the Wither's particle effect, and arrows will no longer do any effect. He will now take 25% less damage. His primary attack is now some sort of retextured sword or a enchanted diamond sword that do approximately 4 hearts of damage. (This fight should last about 30-60 seconds, and you most likely wont die unless you have iron armor and know how to swing a sword and shoot a bow.
Once you slay the boss, he will drop the Music Disc 13, (Which you cannot access anywhere else.) The music disc when played will then begin a lightning storm, that will ware off. Ever since you play that disc the monsters will become harder. Instead of skeletons shooting the way they do now, it will go back to it's original fire rate. Once you activate the music disc they will shoot the way they do now. Spiders will be able to do increased damage, maybe jump farther. Zombies will be able to travel in larger hordes, be faster, and a bit stronger. Creepers would have a more damaging and larger blast. In return, you get more experience from these monsters and you get a higher chance of collecting rare items, and the spawn chance for gunpowder, rotten flesh, iron, bones, etc etc are raised as well. (Like a hardmode that gives you more benefits)
You get to keep the disc, and playing it from then on will not have an effect but set a creepy mood.
There could be a gamerule that enables/disables harder mode (Or whatever we will call it) without killing the boss, there could also be a gamerule that disables/enables Disc 13 making the game enter harder mode.
If you think this boss is hard, compare it to the Wither. He shoots everything, screws up your world, and gives you a poison effect. And the dragon can instantly kill you if it gets a good shot on you. It really isn't that hard.
In summary, this is a reccomendation for Herobrine that sets it to good use, makes the game harder, adds a boss, and is not over powered. It isn't excessive, and is a fun way to enter a hard mode. Possibly, the monsters could get a more upgraded look to them to show that you are in "Harder Mode."
Please tell me what is wrong with this idea and leave only constructive criticism. Yes, it is Herobrine, but I think the fans would go wild if he was put in the game with a balanced, and reasonable purpose. Thank you for your time.
No, why does everyone think Herobrine is some evil soulless devil that should be fought and killed? this is an Over suggested thread and as we all know Herobrine will never be added into the game.
Herobrine just wants to make his modern art all over your world, Notch himself has said
"I've publicly told people there's never been any such thing as Herobrine, and that I don't have any dead brothers, and that letting too many animals die in lava is a fool proof way to summon him but that you don't need to be afraid of him. He only means well, he's looking out for you, trying to warn you of the dangers you can't see."
"Herobrine has, and always will be, our friend." -Mollstam
Yes, yes yes. I read Herobrine. I say no. I really do not think this adds anything to the game. Besides, Herobrine is too far deep into Minecraft community lore that adding him will probably cause outrage.
I would say that you have the right idea for how Herobrine should be put to use, and your explanation is pretty well thought out. I'm neutral with this because Notch has clearly stated that Herobrine will never be added to the game, so even if Mojang does see this suggestion and the community solely supports this, it will most likely be passed on by Mojang. (I think the overworld boss will most likely be the Red dragon.) Your explanation is very well thought out.
Herobrine would be a cool thing to add as a one-day april fools joke. He wouldn't do any damage, when you look at him, about three seconds later, he disappears. And he would be completely removed on april 2nd.
Yeh no. I do not think we need a boss for the overworld really. The other dimensions work and if you want a boss for the overworld, spawn a wither there.
Notch said himself "I had never added this 'Herobrine' into the game. I never will and I also have no dead brothers. The only brother I even have is one half-brother and I have never seen him before."
If you don't believe that sentence that ex-head developer said himself, you must be pretty low on the MineCraft information chart.
Herobrine was NEVER in the game and he has no dead brothers. If you think that Herobrine is active, he's not so this post just cleared up your mind.
Okay, so we have two bosses, currently. A Nether boss (Wither) and the End boss, (Ender Dragon.) So, we are missing one dimension, the Overworld. I do want an Overworld boss, but this isn't the way to do it.
So I do have an idea for this, but as soon as you see it you will flip out, get angry, and say, "Oh yeah. Another one of these threads. But hear me out. My idea, is that we make that boss Herobrine. Hell no.
Now stop! Don't leave yet, I actually have a reasonable way to make this work. And such a good story shouldn't go to waste. Yes, it should. It's a dead Creepypasta that should just drift off into the endless sea that is the Internet.
Now he wont mess with your creations, or steal your items, or make weird pyramids. He will simply be a boss. That's all and it. He wont have super powers that eat your soul with a 1 hit kill. He will be the easiest boss, because he is the Overworld boss. A bit too easy.
I was considering an altar made of 4 smooth stone and 4 mossy cobblestone. In the center is a diamond block, set the diamond block on fire and Herobrine would appear. It would look like this: http://imgur.com/vS0Fp0T A diamond block for this failure boss? Too expensive.
Fighting him wouldn't be insanely hard either. He would have 25 Hearts, and could possibly create monsters to fight for him (Probably NOT creepers.) Only 25? That's absolutely pathetic. A boss shouldn't be able to only take slightly more punishment than an Enderman.
Once he reaches 50% Health, he will get a charge around his body (The charged creeper animation, preferably only his head) and he will begin striking lightning at you, that only damages 3.5 - 5.5 hearts, he will strike you with these every 4-6 seconds or so. Great, so we can take damage randomly with almost no way to avoid it?
At this point he will take 15% less damage, and stop spawning monsters. The fight so far isn't so overpowered. The lightning is, Brosiden.
Once he reaches 25% Health, he will no longer strike lightning, the charge around his body will be replaced with the Wither's particle effect, and arrows will no longer do any effect. (Cough)Cheap Wither knockoff(Cough)
He will now take 25% less damage. His primary attack is now some sort of retextured sword or a enchanted diamond sword that do approximately 4 hearts of damage. So a three-hit kill?
(This fight should last about 30-60 seconds, and you most likely wont die unless you have iron armor and know how to swing a sword and shoot a bow. So we'll die if he have armor and know how to use weapons?
Once you slay the boss, he will drop the Music Disc 11, (Which you cannot access anywhere else.) Learn your Minecraft. 13 was one of the first discs we could get from Creepers, and we can still get it from Creepers.
The music disc when played will then begin a lightning storm, that will wear off. Ever since you play that disc the monsters will become harder. So we decimate an underpowered boss and get more difficulty as a result?
Instead of skeletons shooting the way they do now, it will go back to it's original fire rate. Once you activate the music disc they will shoot the way they do now. Seems like a lot of unnecessary coding.
Spiders will be able to do increased damage, maybe jump farther. Right, because they don't jump far enough.
Zombies will be able to travel in larger hordes, be faster, and a bit stronger. So they'll be able to hit harder, but still behave like vegetables?
Creepers would have a more damaging and larger blast. Great, now that giant mansion we spent four months straight working on will be destroyed by five or six Creepers, all because we killed a weak-ass boss.
In return, you get more experience from these monsters and you get a higher chance of collecting rare items, and the spawn chance for gunpowder, rotten flesh, iron, bones, etc etc are raised as well. (Like a hard mode that gives you more benefits) How so you propose Mojang codes this?
You get to keep the disc, and playing it from then on will not have an effect but set a creepy mood.

In summary, this is a recommendation for Herobrine that sets it to good use, makes the game harder, adds a boss, and is not over powered. This is the worst incarnation of Herobrine I've ever seen. It has no real purpose. It makes the game annoying, not harder. It's not overpowered, it's underpowered. The only semi-decent thing this suggestion offers is a boss.
It isn't excessive, and is a fun way to enter a hard mode. Possibly, the monsters could get a more upgraded look to them to show that you are in "Harder Mode." Like what?
Please tell me what is wrong with this idea and leave only constructive criticism. Yes, it is Herobrine, but I think the fans would go wild if he was put in the game with a balanced, and reasonable purpose. Thank you for your time. Yes, they would go wild. With disbelief that such a terrible meme would be put in such an awesome game.
No support.

As soon as I read herobrine, I stopped reading. Why do people even USE herobrine as a boss for anything? I mean I get it, it was an okay creepypasta, but I've heard the name herobrine about 200 thousand times and frankly, I think the community should stop beating a dead horse and move on.
The boss idea: good. The idea it could be herobrine: not so good.
Red dragon, spider queen, super slime, skeleton king, giant anglerfish, massive bee, creeper hive mother....
Just not herobrine.
Also, it needs to be harder, more dodging ( because its fun, make me jump a fire thing and I'm happy, make my hit some charges, I'm happy, make me use logic o kill him, I'm happy, make him a simple minecraft mob, it's minecraft, so ill let it slide,) a better spawn condition, a reason to kill him, like exclusive items, or an aether/ Somnia dimension, or more mobs ( useful, good hard mode)
Also you seem to steal ideas from terraria a lot. Though I like the disc 11 drop idea. Semi-support.
I really wish Herobrine was real, nut this would just slander his name. Herobrine is supposed to be all powerful and undefeatable. Thats why hes so scary. Id rather have the red dragon as a boss.
