new dimensions
okay... so my last dimension was kind of... sucky? (YES haters i know sucky is not a word...
but it matches the situation pretty well so stfu) so i came up with a few new ideas for
dimensions (keep in mind i didn't search a few things up )
1. zombie overrun dimension: seems simple right? not really, every mob in the game is remodeled behaviorally and visually
zombie: (immune to sun) X2 as fast and has a chance to infect you with the virus ( 1/2 chance to infect)
virus: basically the virus makes your skin green (zombie green) and makes it so you have to eat about twice
or three times a day and you get a small speed
bonus for attacking living things (such as cows, pigs, sheep, wolves, cats, and people) also when your hunger level is fully satisfied
animals and humans glow a dark red (like when you hit something)
infected creeper: moves at half the speed as normal, spawns in packs, and when caught in the explosion there is a chance you will get infected
infected spider: (spawns rarely)basically a very different color/design of the cave spider with added health (one or two extra hearts)
infected skeleton: moving up to X3 as fast these infected skeletons shoot at you and sometimes drop rotton flesh (immune to sunlight damage)
infected enderman: being able to throw blocks at you occasonally and teleport these mobs become exceptionally dangerous
when all you have to do is be 50 blocks away from them to trigger they're savage attacks (retextured and colored to look rotting, like a
zombie pigman with an enderman face)
in addition to these mobs the soil in the infected region is sterile so that if you use a hoe on the soil you can't plant anything
aside from no plants or farms dead trees can be seen littering the once florishing forests (looks like a dead bush but bigger)
but cows and pigs still roam the counrtyside, looking for tufts of grass and other food items.
getting to the zombie dimension is REALLY easy... but escaping isn't to enter 5X5 simply make a cobblestone
frame (as shown in the screenshot) and place torches on each block, then it made correctly the empty space will turn a
cactus green, then step in and you've entered the zombie dimension
other deatails will be added but i REALLY wanted to publish a zombie dimension to see what people think of it, so please leave
a comment and complete the poll to help me improve my ideas and make better suggestions :]
God no. First of all, this would not work as a dimension. It could be an alternate game mode maybe, but not a dimension. This is kind of what you did in the last thread where the new dimension is just the regular one, with small changes to stats and whatnot. The difference is (I'm kind of guessing here) you saw people saying it was too similar and went overboard adding things just to make it different.
I would not want to see this in vanilla, but it could be a mod. I wouldn't play it though.

By the means of "PT 1" or part one, you seem to be planning to make a part 2.
You should stop making pt 1, pt 2, pt 3 threads etc. it's kinda spamming threads related to each other belongs in one thread.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers what the Universe is for, it will be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
Rather than being a separate dimension, this would work far better as an "Evil" biome.
It could appear with a low frequency- perhaps five times that of Mushroom biomes- and cover an area of no more than a few dozen chunks. Anything that spawns within them would have the "Infected" attribute that increases their health, damage, movement speed, and vision range. This could then be transmitted to the player, who would not receive the positive buffs but rather suffer a hunger-like debuff.
This would have to time-out to prevent it from being a death sentence, though. Just leaving the biome would be a fair way of dispelling it, methinks.
As for the biome itself, it would automatically destroy grass and turn stone into cobblestone over time. It'd have to contain something of value- perhaps a "node" that can be destroyed to return the biome to its natural state. It'd drop something reasonably useful, like a few diamonds or a powerful enchanting book.
In fact, this could be a good way of introducing a WIther enchantment. It'd apply the Wither effect to enemies, but cost an extra point of durability per use (as it is quite powerful indeed).
Destroying the Wither itself ought to have an effect on the Evil biomes as well. It could weaken the power of the Infection effect- or, perhaps, make it stronger. This would only apply to the infected chunks within, say, two or three kilometers, making it possible for multiple slain Withers to have any sort of effect.
But I'm really just rambling at this point. Thoughts?

EDIT: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1840731-apocalyptic-zombie-dimension/ <<< This thread made by you is exactly the same.
Make it a gamemode like what Badprenup said.
-But even that would be useless.
