The most underused food is cookies and watermelons, because they dont give alot of hunger points. But the real reason why its underused is because it takes forever to eat one cookie or watermelon. Im not sure how long it takes too eat food, but its around 1 second. For food that gives alot of hunger points like bread, steak and baked potateos, this makes sense, because its balanced. But it makes no sense for small foods like cookies and watermelon. The suggestion- decrease the time it takes for eating food that dosent give alot of hunger points. So it cuts the time it takes to eat 10 watermelons in half.
Guys I know melons are easy to farm but what about cookies? They are underused.
A lot of people use watermelons. They are VERY easy to farm. I'd say the most underused one is pumpkin pie.

But cookies are extremely easy to make, and to make a lot of them. Cocoa beans are found everywhere in the jungle. Wheat is easy to farm. Watermelon, I do think should be more balanced.
I don't think I can support this just based off your signature OP. :/
Plus I don't think it's unbalanced.. Who honestly needs food unless you're playing some hardcore survival? A better suggestion would be to have tilled soil blocks to eventually not be able to produce food items for an extended period of time. Much like how farmers would have to rotate their crops.
No support. It's not under powered in any way. And anyway I eat tons of melons and cookies and them giving low food is because they are horribly easy to horde up.
If you don't like filling up your hunger bar slowly with that food then just go kill some cows.... (Or mushroom stew. Tons of food, easy to make)
Hmm, This is an interesting one. I like what you're thinking with varied eating-times for different foods, but at the same time watermelon is a bit tricky seeing as they heal far less, but come in much bigger numbers. The whole point that balances watermelon is not necessarily the fact that they heal little but comes in large quantities rather than the fact that whenever you loose the first point of food-bar you can just heal that particular slot up and not waste any food. That way you can always remain on full health, Aka always regenerate health.
Just an interesting thought, what about flipping all the tables and INCREASE food-eating time instead, based on how much more something heals than the reverse? This would make the foods like bread and meat more time-consuming, but those foods are in turn used in less frequency, due to the fact that it takes a lot of activity to justify eating a piece. Whereas cookies and melons are eaten "faster" due to the fact that you need to eat such foods at a higher frequency to keep the foodbar high?
I think this sounds more reasonable, due to the fact that if you decrease time on any food it becomes too fast-consumed, and the whole tactic aspect of eating mid-battle would be lost. An increase in time for larger foods would give cake a real purpose again, as well as rebalancing the entire system to a whole new level of thought and would hardly cause more tedium rather than making people actually think through what they are eating and when they eat it.

A wild signature appears!
Did they change the signature limit, or is it just me?
I'm going to have some fun with this!

Support or no?

don't expect me to be on much.
