Server commands should be able to target potion effects, and have the command apply to everyone currently under the effect of that potion.
This would allow you to use splash potions to mark people as server command targets. Or you could repurpose potions so they do something different. For example, you could use a nightvision potion on someone during the day (so the nightvision doesn't do anything useful) and use it as a teleportation potion. Or you could give a beneficial potion a downside, or a negative potion an upside.
There should also be some creative mode accessible only potions that have no effects, and only exist to use as server command markers.
So what you are suggesting is to target players through their potion effects(For example you could use the following command "tp <potion effect> <location>")? If this is what you are proposing, I don't see its advantage over a scoreboard. Please explain its advantage.
