I mean, we've never seen a feature that dramatically adds something related to vision, on minecraft. A telescope, a binocule, or a mirror. The closest we have from something like that is the night vision potion, but it only changes the light.
What do you guys think, is it impossible to make mirrors on Minecraft? I mean, in Mario 64 there were some mirrors, and the 64 engines aren't that sofisticated.
Vision aspects in MC have been lacking ever since it began. I agree that stuff like this should be added to the game Mirrors (Like you said) is a good example of this.
Well im not sure minecraft will be able to handle one mirror in front of another :P. Or even better than can create a new dimension with a new boss monster

I know this is an older topic, but I should point out that Mario 64 did NOT have mirrors. The room leading to Snowman's Land appears to have a mirror but that's a trick. It's actually a special room with a transparent wall, and it renders a duplicate of Mario on the other side of the mirror. This was done specifically because the Rendering hardware didn't have features such as shaders which would be required to create any sort of actual mirror texture. Note that this same limitation is why Duke Nukem 64 removed all the mirrors in the game. (The Original Game used the Build Engine which performed some software tricks that didn't work with the N64)
You can't compare mirrors in Super Mario 64 to Minecraft. Super Mario 64 is not a world made up of blocks and nearly infinite chunks. I'm gonna say no. That would require an engine rewrite to support the shader, then you have the problem of insane lag. Imagine a server with multiple mirrors. That's performance suicide.
And please don't say "it can be an option!" because it's too much to implement in the first place.

Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
