All, right. So I had a few ideas and I just want to put them out here. I'm not sure about you guys liking them, though, so if you have anything to say about them, tell me.
1)Mirror Block--This isn't really an item that's useful, but it's the same with dyes: only used for aesthetic reasons. Some people may like this, especially the ones who like making bathrooms in their houses. To craft it, put three iron ingots vertically and three glass vertically beside it. Placing it is akin to the piston: the working part(the reflection for this block) faces the player when it is placed.
2)Binoculars--This may help in looking for caves, or scouting. Using Binoculars, people can enhance their vision, which is useful for looking for stuff. The downside? Much like bows, using Binoculars makes you move slower.
3)This is one that many people request for, but I'm gonna put it here to show my support for it: Invisible Armor. Many people have these awesome skins, maybe it's Link, maybe some skin they created that's really good. Anyway, many of these people find that wearing armor ruins the look of their skins. So many of them request for Invisible Armor so they can see their skins while keeping the protection values. Some people(mostly the Singleplayer ones) are fine with just editing the Armor File on Minecraft to make it invisible, but there are those who love playing Multiplayer. Those are the guys(or girls) who want not only themselves, but also others to see their skin unencumbered by Armor while still being able to play safely. One solution was proposed by this guy who's Username 113820: Enchanting. There can be an Enchantment that makes Armor translucent. the higher the Level, the more translucent it gets. Another one(I'm not sure if anyone suggested this before me): Combining with Anvil. You know how you can Combine Armor with an Enchanted Book on an Anvil to Enchant it? Well maybe you can Combine Armor with an Invisibility Potion to make it invisible. The downside(or bright side, depending on your point of view): It gives an advantage to PvP players, who can use Invisible Armor without anyone knowing. A solution to this, proposed by Galax: A strange blue or purple glow around the Armor. That way, even if the Armor is invisible enough to keep the Skin-lovers happy, people will still know that someone is wearing Armor.
Thanks for reading! Critique/Praise/Suggestions or any form of feedback appreciated.
Mirrors have been suggested before; they're not a bad idea, but they would be a pain to code and would cause a lot of lag when used due to the processing power needed to make them work.
Binoculars don't sound too bad, actually.
I have a simpler idea for invisible armor: a Glamer enchantment that makes it turn invisible when equipped.
I'm sorry but I don't like these ideas. The mirror block I just couldn't see in the game. It just wouldn't feel like Minecraft. I don't see too many uses for the binoculars. I think that they would be fun for like 5 minutes and then get boring and useless. The invisible armor I don't agree with 100%. It is unnecessary and would be very OP. Now if you use an invisibility potion and have invisible armor you would be very OP, especially if it is enchanted diamond armor. Than you would be strong and hard to find. I don't support any of these ideas. Sorry ):
