You ever had a villager get the zombie virus? Ever decided to cure 'em? It's a pain in the ass. Going out of your way to hunt down the materials and all this...So, when I cure a zombie villager, I consider that an investment of resources. And I prefer to protect that investment. After all, if they die, the whole curing process was for nothing. That, and I like to play favorites with the villagers. The ones I've gone through trouble curing and protecting get to stay in the better houses and such. (This is a dictatorship and any who complain about my favoritism get herded into the underground pit of boiling magmahappiness chambers.)
Now, the problem is fairly obvious: I can't tell them apart from the rest. Currently, I work around this by fencing off any ex-zombies inside their houses under guise of a quarantine. The suggestion is simple: A way to tell them apart. Maybe a slightly different texture or coloring or unique marking. Maybe the skin retains a slight greenish tinge or something. They just look so unhappy in their quarantine houses guarded by vicious wolves...
Plus since there isn't any gameplay-oriented incentive to cure any zombies at all ever (it's far simpler to just breed more fresh subjects), there might as well be a roleplay-oriented incentive.
For some odd reason they made it so that you can't use name tags on villagers. They should change that, then you could just name the important villagers.
I've long desired a way to tell villagers apart (not based on if I've cured them, but just in general it bug me that they all look the same). I went as far as making a mod for it: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1758104-genetics-villager-hair-eye-and-skin-colors/ . I like the solution of making all villagers somewhat identifiable, as oppsed to some sort of special cue for ex-zombies. And now that horses get a bunch of cool markings, why not villagers?
I also support making name tags work on villagers.

Name tags should work on everything, and leads should work on anything with a name tag. Alas, not likely...

Are you serious? That makes me want to nitrous oxide someone's house. That's painfully stupid. In that case, yes, I would like a marker for this kind of thing. There's also been times where I trapped a zombie villager but he disappeared upon me returning with a cure.

Maybe it's a bug? XD

Curse PremiumI'd like the ability to name villagers though.
Because they're cowards. The infected obviously had the guts to try to fight.
