So, ever wanted a fully automatic farm, cobblestone farm, charcoal farm, tree farm, or even an extremely simple mining machine? Well, this is where you'd find it. First, I'd like to go over why this is not overpowered:
the placers and removers place or remove only 3 blocks in front of them, based on the redstone signal strength. (1-5: 1 block, 6-10: 2 blocks, 11-15: 3 blocks.) They also have an expensive crafting recipe.
So. The block remover is used to remove blocks up to 3 blocks away depending on the redstone signal strength. This allows for simple mining machines and tree farms and stuff. But, because of its range, it would be extremely limited. It can remove everything that the tool placed inside of the machine can remove. Its inventory has 10 slots: a 3x3 in the middle and one slot on top with a ghost image or outline of a pickaxe. The top slot with the pickaxe ghost image is the tool slot. It holds the tool that you place in it. For Example: a diamond pickaxe could be placed in it to destroy anything a diamond pickaxe could destroy at the same speed. It uses the tools durability to mine blocks. Your probably wondering what this amazing tool would cost you to make:
{D: Dispenser : redstone P: Piston} D P
So. The block placer is used to place blocks up to 3 blocks away based on the redstone signal strength. This allows for simple wheat and tree farms and stuff. It has 9 slots: a 3x3 in the middle. It places any blocks from its inventory in front of it. It has the same recipe as the remover but with a sticky piston.
Sorry, I'm out of time, but please leave coments and support this!
Imagine: auto farms, tree farms, cobble farms. Thanks for your support, bye!
I still think it's OP, range doesn't matter, as pistons can easily move them into position, neglecting the need for that, and "but it needs diamonds!" doesn't solve the problem either.
When balancing don't think of the "how" it's acquired, people will do it, humans tend to be able to do anything they put their minds to, but instead think of the after. Sure the uber one hit infinite use sword takes 100 diamonds, but this guy has one now, and he's using it to obliterate everyone in his path. He's pretty much now the overlord of the server because no one can stand up to him. And needing to get 100 diamonds first didn't change that at all.
Farms are really powerful as is, you can get tons of things without lifting a finger. This shouldn't be expanded to every item in the game however, if you could get every item in the game without trying, what would be the point of survival? You may as well be on creative mode. We still need certain things to be manual to make it so some effort has to be put in still, and keep it seperate from creative.
