i would really like a way to make everything renewable, now im not saying making a diamond farm like a cobble farm, this would take a lot of balancing, and would have to be very endgame for some of the more valuable resources i just wand to see what kind of mechanic you would like to see for this.
Even though very cheap, there's a mod out there that lets you grow things as reeds, and you can harvest stuff like mossy cobblestone, or obsidian.
Technically, everything is renewable in the game. Only thing that comes to mind that isn't is end stone. Either way, just simply keep generating new chunks once you've tapped old ones dry.
In one world, I have a 3K block long mine at layer 12. Diamond wise, I'm set. since it's a great time killer, I even started one at 0,0.
This seems like a good idea, but I feel like it might take away from some of the fun of searching for things. Maybe not renewable things like ore could rarelyish generate back in stone, or something like that. I don't know. I would like to see renewable everything, but only if renewable everything doens't mean farmable everything.

I have no idea what to do with my signature. This is good enough for now.
however, if it is renewable, there will be a way to farm it. but not very efficiently. take iron. you can farm it using zombies, but it is a rare drop.

Or golems yes, but it would be very hard to farm diamonds if they slowly generate in a random place in the massive minecraft world. You can't make a farm that size.
