I've been messing around with track alot more recently and I couldn't help but notice how strange the track pieces act with one another. They have a mind of they're own and snap to whatever piece they want to, and they won't even listen to a detector rail or any imput of redstone when an a four-way intersection is made. This seems like a simple idea to add an intersection piece, it just lets the cart keep going in the same direction while other carts can go thiers as well.
What do you guys think? Would you want another piece of rail to simplify some of your tracks or no? Any possible problems with a four-way track that would stop it's implication?
People should marry for love, not convenience. And if Uther thinks an unhappy king makes for a stronger kingdom, then he's wrong because you may be destined to rule Camelot but you have a choice... as to how you do it. ~Merlin
I like this recipe, maybe even have an iron ingot in the middle? you know, to keep the exspense close to normal rails.
or maybe even 1 rail in the middle with an iron ingot on each side of it?
I support this idea and also craft nicer looking diagonal tracks.
To craft it arrange track in the shape of a plus sign like this and get five railroad crossing blocks. The T is a railroad track and the . is an empty slot.

For diagonal track arrange three track at an angle and get three diagonal track.

Not a bad recipe, it could be a bit expensive iron wise, but makes sense.

However, it needs a crafting recipe. :|
