Here's an idea that's been stuck in my head for a while, but I haven't really had the time to post it: Carts.
Now, basically this idea is an attempt to request adding a mobile chest of sorts to the game but keep it in the same theme that Minecraft is at. Carts will technically be a vehicle, but you wouldn't ride it. You push it or pull it.
They have a small inventory of their own, about maybe three-fifths of a small chest. I have come up with two ideas for carts; an open ended cart and a close ended cart. To add these well (in my perspective), a miscellaneous-esque crafting recipe should be added:
The wheel.
Where W = Wooden Planks|S = Stick
W S W S S S = Wooden Wheel W S W
While this recipe would mainly be used for the carts, if it actually were added, I assume other uses for it would also be. One thing I realize that may come up is 'minecarts have wheels but don't need it in their recipe' or something of the like. I realise that, and I also realize that I may have done a terrible job in putting the idea together. Whatever, let's move on. To the actual carts. A closed ended cart will be less complex. When right clicked, it will open up an inventory similar to that of a chest, but smaller. It could be crafted like so:
S = Stick|P = Wooden Plank| B = Boat|C = Chest|W = Wheel|X = Nothing
P S B W W C
X X X
To pull these, you'd right click, and the cart (with any contents you may have in it) will move.
Now, my idea for the open ended cart is different, both in function and recipe. It would cost less, but it also has something slightly special about it: When going up or down a block that are not stairs, there is a chance that something will fall out. Otherwise, it would have the same inventory. To craft it:
S P C X P P X W X
Also, an interesting aesthetic would be the ability to see items in the cart.
Basically, that's my idea. If I did a bad job at orginization, please tell me. If the idea itself is just bad, leave a comment. I am open to constructive criticism.
