The "/entspawn" command should be used to easily spawn some Mobs without spawner eggs or spawners. The "ent" stands for entity.
How would it work ?
The "/entspawn" command is supposed to work like this :
/entspawn [Network-ID] [amount] {player} or {x} {y} {z} or /entspawn [Savegame-ID] [amount] {player} or {x} {y} {z}
The parameters which are surrouded by "{ }" are additional parameters to control the spawning location of the mobs.
If they aren't given, the mobs will spawn at your coordinates.
The "/entspawn" command would be available in the "Cheats" when they are activated. Because of the use of the Network-ID or the Savegame-ID you can spawn every entity! For exapmle you can spawn: flying Firework Rocked; Giant; Minecart; any trown projectile and even a Ender Crystal.
Why should it be added ?
This new command would not only add the possibility to manageable and easy spawn larger amounts of mobs, but also it will let you create completly new things like custom MobArenas in your Single Player without Mods! The fact that you could add this command to Command Blocks would open whole new ways of playing Minecraft! Furthermore it's using is optional and does not affect the regular gameplay!
Currently in vanilla there are only two ways the spawn mobs :
1. Spawner eggs disadvantage:
- need to be placed by the player or dispenser
- dispenser with spawner eggs needs a redstone impulse to spawn mobs
- the amount of the spawned mobs by the dispenser is hardly manageable
- dispensers are not infinite
- would take a lot of time to spawn a larger amount of mobs
2. Mob spawner disadvantages:
- a player needs to be within a radius of 16 blocks
- spawners are not avaliable in the vanilla creative inventory
- are only hard to modify with MCEdit filters
- is not simply available if you need some "test objects" - would take a lot of time to spawn a larger amount of mobs
There are allready Mods and Plugins that add that feature !
Yes, there are Mods like Single Player Commands that implement this feature, but they need to be installed and not everyone knows how to do that! In addition Minecraft Realms is to not work with Plugins and most of the Mods don't add the possibility to use this feature in combination with Command Blocks.
This has been allready posted !
Really? Oh, sorry... my fault! I just haven't seen something like this posted here before...
You can use a spawn egg with a dispenser and that will spawn a mob. One mob.
I do know how this works (PS: Actually you can spawn more than one mob, if you put multiple spawner eggs into a dispenser and connect that dispenser with a Redstoneclock or impulser!).
But the idea is to controlable and easy spawn more that one mob!

The /mob spawn command is good when you want to spawn one (or multiple) mobs without having to be at a roof or wall/ground.

Curse Premiumi think this is a good idea. imo we should have more commands added. for the map makers
Thank you for your support!

Actually I've made that fancy font, because I like to structure my posts and make my topics good looking
Perfectly right!
