Alright, I propose we add a new type of golem, they're adding Hardened-clay (raw clay blocks baked in an oven) as a block, so I think, we should be able to place the same T shape used to make the iron golem, just out of hardened clay, with a pumpkin head; and it'll create a Clay Golem, they function as a weaker, easier to produce version of an iron golem, and they use the same body design as the player, so they can equip items you toss to them. You can also use the new name tags they're adding to name them, and keep them from de-spawning, so you can use them as guards you can put around your base, they'll attack any hostile mobs, (besides creepers and zombie pig men. Who will leave them alone, and also bosses) and they can be healed by tossing them a lump of clay (they'll eat it and restore some health) And they'll also interact with passive mobs and villagers.
So, what do you think? I personally think it would be nice to be able to have body guards that are easier to manage and require less upkeep then cats and dogs.
It depends on their exact stats. Also, the healing and equipping armor seems like a no-no. These aren't the easiest thing to build but you could mass produce them fairly easily.

Also: I was thinking of making a list of some new Golems to add, I was wondering if I could include these, I'll give you credit of course.
