Have you ever wanted the ability to place redstone along walls. Have you ever wanted to place redstone on the ceiling or in the air but, of course, you knew that you couldn't. Do you feel limited?
Well, sorry to say, my idea DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO DO THIS WITH REDSTONE. But, if you are limited on Minecraft, then the purpose of the game is meaningless. The purpose of the game is to have no limits to what you can do. Sure, it does have its limits, but there are some things that are difficult to do on Minecraft.
My idea adds:
copper ore
copper item
copper wires
redstone transmitter
copper blocks
signal plates
Well, this new ORE that I want to add may seem MEANINGLESS! Trust me, I've had some stupid ideas for topics, and I've had plenty of people tell me that they have no meaning and that they are not useful to minecraft, Well this topic is.
Copper ore can be found up to 40 blocks above bedrock. Fairly easy to find, about as frequent as coal. They will appear in groups of 2-4 blocks and are more of an orangey-brown color. May get confused with iron, ya know. Well, its not. That's why it has a different texture. (i will post pictures of all of these blocks soon!) It can be mined with an iron or diamond pickaxe.
Once you mine it, you will receive the block. Once you smelt it, you will receive copper. You can then use this copper to make copper wires, copper blocks, and more. Use redstone, copper blocks, and a gold ingot to make a redstone transmitter. What this does is it transmitts a signal to all nearby redstone items. If there is a redstone torch within radius, it will go off. If there is redstone within the radius that is not being powered, then it will turn on, stuff like that.
The signal plates can be used by using gold ingots and redstone. Once these are placed beside the redstone transmitters, the signal will grow stronger.
All redstone items within this block radius will either turn on or off (depending on whether the items are being powered or not) You can also make copper wires out of copper and redstone. These can be put up on the sides of blocks, in the AIR, and all over the place. The copper wires work the same as actual redstone. Connect the cuircits to the ends of a redstone item and it will power it. It's like having the ability to place redstone in the air!
Well, that's my idea! Please follow this topic if you like this idea.
1. Redstone transmitter would be to op.
2. Gold is not that easy to find.
3. You didn't explain what the copper cable does.
4. I would rather have normal redstone be able to go along walls and such.
5. Not really "Electrical uses", restone =/= electricity

0 SPs=5 blocks
1 SPs=10 blocks
2 SPs=20 blocks
3 SPs=35 blocks
4 SPs=50 blocks!
P.S. SPs means "signal plates"
