Why would it be different from my account name on here

Hi. I just wanted to say that making a minecraft server is too hard, even that i have a server creator. Joining it also is hard because you have to get a certain code so you have to advertise. I wish there could be a function where you could just make a server using add Server without using all this stuff, and a function where you can search a server title, see which is most popular without having to look on other websites. Something like that i would want. i hope mojang gets a chance to read this. :|

Finding a website with info about which server is more popular isn't that hard.
Add your server to one of these lists (it will start at the bottom though), players might find it and join.
I don't really see the need of this.
Minecraft server setup is extremely easy. You just port-forward and then run the server exe. It's impossible to get any easier than that, because port-forwarding is necessary to host any kind of server on any computer.

I don't even know what port forwarding is, gimme a break. Ok now only people who agree with me can post. And second of all blockland is exactly like what I said for those of you who know what that is.Be ause you just click Custum Server>Internet>Launch Game. No port forwarding, no anything. To join one you click JoinAGame and you see all Internet servers active at that moment. That's all, no port forwarding, no server application, no nothing. Just the game. Doesn't that sound simple?

Huh. From what I am looking at, on both Youtube and the official Blockland site, you do need to port forward. They even have a port forward tutorial. http://blockland.us/Help.html (all the way at the bottom) http://blockland.us/portforward/index.html (their port forward tutorial page)
So... there goes that reasoning.
Also, Blockland just built their server.exe into the main game itself. It is still there, it just isn't accessible from outside the game. The reason Minecraft doesn't is because unless you have a very good computer it is a bad idea to try and run a server and play on it from the same computer because Minecraft is a resource hog.
Also, you don't get to decide who can and cannot post on your thread. That is basically minimodding which is against the rules. You are not the boss of your thread. You have permission from the hosts of this site and their admins (Curse.com and their staff) to post here. So I will continue to post here, even if I disagree. And I do disagree, because unless you are running the least secure server in the world with absolutely no firewall and a router that is 100% open by default, you need to port forward.
