This suggestion is just a little one that would the use of potion a bit simpler.
By making it so that used potions would go in a stack if there is an empty bottle in your inventory. Thus removing the need to put them in a stack yourself.
Just imagine:
You are exploring in a cave, it is dark so you drink a potion of night vision, then you see a dungeon up ahead in the cave. You drink a potion of strength and then you find out that you discovered a dungeon without any chests. (You now have 2 empty glass bottles)
Then you go to mine some more stuff, iron, gold, redstone. Suddenly you spot some diamonds hanging over lava. You finally drink your fire resist potion and jump in the lava. You think you will get those diamonds and mine them, BAM! Full inventory, the diamonds die and so does your heart and spirits.
Stupid example, but something like this could happen and because you tried to manage your inventory, possible leading to your death.
It´s an interesting example,
but they actually are already stackable,
you just need to do two mouse clicks and its done.
Making this comment, i could stack more than 50 bottles.
So it is not really useful, you just need to take the time for it,
just as people have to read your post.
Sorry man, no support.
I do know they are stackable, therefore I thought improving the stacking could be helpful.
Often when potions are used you might have limited time picking something up as mobs might be chasing you.

Pumpkin pie exists, but pie tins or pie forms do not. I think he has a mod.

@Suggestion: Making the bottles stack automatically after drinking a potion? Sounds yummy.
