I've seen people getting annoyed about how snow biomes generate next to desert biomes and things like that, so i had an idea. What if biome generation depended on direction? The more North you go the more snow biomes you should see, and the more South you go, you should start seeing desert and jungle biomes. Forest and plains biomes should be neutral and fill in spaces between biomes. My friend told me that if you go far enough, you should come across a whole other island as if its a seperate world (I do not know if this is true, correct me if I am wrong). If this is so, if you hit the south side of the island you should see jungles and deserts, even if you were going towards the new island from the north. Even though this isn't as realistic as it should be, it's better than it is now
So tell me what you think. I didn't think about this suggestion too heavily but i just wanted to throw it out there.
redundant and difficult to code. pls use the search bar next time.
It would be a good idea if the mc world wasn't infinite. you'dd need a starting point (equator) and an end point where everything is snow, (poles). this would make a neat mod though

The current terrain generation algorithm is already quite repetitive, since height variations and features are judged almost exclusively by biome.
