After a quick search of the forums, I've found several topics with similar suggestions, but they were all either too complicated or simply poorly written. I seek to alleviate that issue.
I think the player should be able to set what mob is spawned by spawner blocks, by right clicking the block with a spawn egg. Simple, effective, and since it only takes effect in creative mode, there's pretty much no way for it to be under or overpowered.
If anyone has complaints or suggestions regarding this idea, I'd love to hear them.
If you have seen an idea already posted, you should continue that idea. Anyway, good idea. Spawn eggs should also have NBT data to control potions, health etc.
