The other day I was fighting a witch. When I killed it she dropped a stick. Now what is this supposed to mean? Wands of course. Mojang thought of wands. Wands are a magical item that allows the players to cast spells. Some great spells could be flamethrower (nerfed of course) water bubble (like in Avatar The Last Airbender, they used water bubbles to travel underwater) and maybe a defensive force field around the player. (This force field could only last for a minute) There could also be helpful spells for any allies or friends of the player. The player could use a flying spell to make all of their friends fly for 4 minutes. The player could also use a spell to give their friends more defensive strength. (That means the player is able to take more damage) please post ideas, thoughts, or comments!

Well, if you could enchant a stick to become a wand, that would be kind of cool. But sorry, you don't have my support because I think there are already enough weapons in the game.
Well see these spells drain exp, so no they are not overpowered.But then again 4 minutes is a long time to fly, maybe 2? It would be helpful for building fortresses and castle walls.
Would there be a cooldown and/or cost to cast the spells?
Also if there were going to be a flying spell it should last for very short amounts of time max 1 min
I appreciate the connection with Witches, but this idea has been over-suggested. Also, the effects are simply too over-powering.
If they were to add wands, the effects would have to be incredibly simple to be balanced.

I think that would make it more fun: Adventuring in the nether for glowstone and XP. Then you can cast spells. Also, it should make you be able to disguise as a witch without a mod, and be able to get free drops from witches. Example: You do /drop glowstone dust. (Without the period). You get free glowstone dust. Also, you should be able to do it on singleplayer with a mod and multiplayer without a mod. Also, it shouldn't be able to be made on creative. Only survival, to be more fun. Also, it should look like a wand, not glowstone on a stick. That's my suggestion.
I think if the magic power was contained within the wand, with the enchantment, it could work.
another use for the Durability bar.
Say you Enchant a Stick with a Fireball spell. That wand can now only cast Fireballs. casting a Fireball reduces a chunk of the Wand's durability. When the durability runs out, the Wand either reverts back to being a regular stick, or breaks.
Different spells would have different numbers of uses.
For example, a Shield Spell Wand would have 5 uses, each one lasting for 30 seconds.
Whereas a Lightning Bolt Wand would have 14 uses, for each bolt fired.
They could be recharged with Glowstone Dust at Anvils for a large XP cost.
Well, if you could enchant a stick to become a wand, that would be kind of cool. But sorry, you don't have my support because I think there are already enough weapons in the game.
