I was playing Minecraft and I wondered; "Are any of my friends on?". That's what sparked this idea. I suggest a "Friends" system where Minecraft players are able to "Friend" each other via a code, and then it will tell the player if that person is online, or offline. What would be really interesting if it not only showed if onine or not, but what feature (Single Player or Multiplayer) they are on, and what server they are currently on (Just the IP).
I don't like the idea on friending someone via code (I think you should just type in the name of a user to friend someone), but I like everything else, and the idea in general.

I fully support.Just that it'd be better to have just the persons username. Especially because i made a topic on this that I think was deleted but ya i support
So for those who don't like the idea of a code, I actually think its necessary, instead of just typing in a username. It prevents random people you see becoming "Friends", as well as bots that just randomly cycle through names and then friend every name that gets accepted. 4hoggy4 has the right idea; send a friend request, which would prevent random friending, but may cause spambots to overload people with friend messages, unless it is regulated somehow. And Wircea also has a good idea; show when your friends join by a "> [Player] joined the game" and a count of the number of friends online.
