It's simple. A crafting table that uncrafts items.
How to Craft
It would be crafted by placing a crafting table in a crafting grid to convert it to an uncrafting table, and vice versa for an uncrafting table.
Interface
The interface would be exactly the same as the regular crafting table, but the output and the inputs are swapped.
How It Works
Place an item on the input slot to the left, and the crafting recipe appears in the right, allowing you to take out the materials used to craft. In order to make it not OP, it would only uncraft items without damage values
(i.e. Uncrafting a half-broken diamond pick won't work.)
Uses
This block would be useful for uncrafting extra items, like buttons for example.
Ok I think that would be nice, but lets say you put in a diamond pick that is about to run out of durability, and you get the materials and craft it again and boom, new diamond pick. The un-crafting table should have a feature that the more it was used the less of the recipe you get back.

When Life gives you lemons throw them on the ground stomp on them and scream "I WANTED LIMES!"
Cloudstryder has a point. I think you shouldn't be able to uncraft an item IF it's been used. Otherwise, I don't see any other loop-holes. +1 for you, bigyihsuan.
EDIT:
Once you take one item out of the uncrafting interface (item return interface) , you can't grab the item you were uncrafting.
The idea is a big, fat no. If you accidently craft 50 diamond hoes, that's your problem. This would make things too easy and reduce the 'careful' crafting need.

If you placed in one stair, would you get a block and a slab?
Same issue with torches.
For any items crafted in bulk, you will still receive the materials back.
