Made like boots, but with an iron ingot on the bottom. Only available in leather.

I have alrady seen this in a mod, but it is a cool idea. I mean, why not? It'll make the game a little more interesting.

Seems like an ok idea but it wouldn't be much use for long distance travel, maybe balance by taking durability damage when not on ice i.e. on stone or dirt

Hmmmm. I like it. Maybe an alternate recipe that also could be used, two iron ingots below a pre-made set of boots, if unbroken. This sounds different from today's Minecraft style, but usefull. I support this.
