So now we have horses, absolutely wonderful!
but now I want people I can battle and charge into, steal from bandits and loot castles
I have a few suggestions on this (pls note that there should be an option to remove this inside the game) 1) bandits/demons 2) mercenaries 3) knights 4) castles 5) citadel 6) pigmen instead of villagers 7) traders
1a: Bandits
Bandits are basically a group of hostile NPCs with weapons/armour and a smart AI. They will attack you on sight, and will go raids against villages, Iron golems don't attack them unless they attack it and they will use flint and steel to burn villages/castles/traders and they will steal whats in their chests (however they will probably kill all the villagers/traders but only burn down 1 or 2 homes and steal all the chests. They won't attack player homes except if the difficulty is on hard and the player has wood on the outside of the house. they will be stopped with cobble fences (not wood). however, some bandits will be on horse-back and if a player has been in the same area for 1 mc month, they will attempt to break down the fence.
They have a camp with two chests in it one which has some iron and probably around 10-20 emeralds and other random junk/weapons/tools. the other has all the stuff looted from the villages. 2 bandits will go on patrol in a max radius of 200 blocks from the camp, the entire camp (6-7 bandits) will sometimes raid villages/castles/traders and sometimes the player. the camp consists of a few wooden houses with beds and chests with a bit of food in them.
on easy: they have around 5 hearts, wear leather armour, have stone tools and weapons (Note: they will use axes as weapons as well as swords), they will have bows but will be limited to 10 arrows.
on normal: they will have around 7 hearts, wear leather and iron armour, have Iron weapons/tools, bows with 30 arrows and horses with no armour
on hard: they will have around 10 hearts, wear Iron armour (1 will wear diamond), have iron weapons/tools (1 will have diamond), bows have unlimited arrows, some have horses, some have Iron, diamond and no armour.
meant to be countered by mercenaries, have a spawn frequency half of a village (won't be seeing a lot of these).
1b: Demons
Demons are the same as bandits except they have a nether portal in the center of their camp and they are less aggressive (radius of 150 blocks). they will however enter the player's home at any difficulty after 1 month.
2: Mercenaries
Mercenaries are neutral NPCs who will come join you for the right price. they are often seen in villages, castles and with traders. there is 1 new villager in villages, castles, citadels and mercenary camps called the mercenary hiresman where you can hire mercenaries for a price. after you buy them, you can't comunicate with them again (unless you look at them for 2 secs and they stay where they are like a dog.)
bellow are the chart for cost-effectiveness
10 emeralds: 5 hearts, leather armor, stone swords/axes, 1 bow, default 10 arrows (recharge by right clicking arrows on him.)
14 emeralds: same as above but with a horse (no armour)
17 emeradls: 7 hearts, Iron armour, Iron swords/ axes, 1 bow, default 30 arrows
20 emeralds: same as above but with a horse (no armour)
22 emeralds: same as above but with horse (iron armour)
30 emeralds: 11 hearts, diamond armour, diamond sword, 1 bows, unlimited arrows
32 emeralds: same as above but with horse (iron armour)
35 emeralds: same as above but with horse (diamond armour)
also found in camps, same camp settup as "bandits" but with 1 chest and they don't leave and around 6-7 mercs per camps.
easy: 2 10em protecting traders, 1 14em per 3 houses in villages, 2 20em per 3 houses in castles, 1 22em per 3 houses in citadels, 10em in camps
normal: 2 10em+1-2 17em protecting traders, 1 17em per 3 houses in villages, 1 22em per houses in castles, 2 22em per 3 houses in citadels, 17em in camps
hard: 4 17em protecting traders, 1 20em per 3 houses in villages,1 22em per houses in castles, 1 22em+ 1 30em per 3 houses in citadels, 22em in camps
3: Knights
Knights are exclusively for Castles and citadels, they stay withing a 20 block radius of the forts. attacks anyone who attacks villagers, neutral. they only protect the city.
easy: 5 hearts, iron armour, iron sword, 50% chance to spawn with bow, 50% chance to spawn with horse
3 knights in castle, 7 in citadel
normal: 7 hearts, Iron armour, Iron with enchantments, bows, 50% chance to spawn with horse, if so 50% chance to spawn with Iron horse armour
6 knights in castle, 10 in citadel
Hard: 10 hearts, Iron armour 30% chance to spaw with diamond armour, Iron with enchantments 30% chance to spawn with diamond with enchantment, bows, chance to spawn with horse spawn with Iron horse armour 30% chance to spawn with Diamond horse armour
10 knights in castle, 17 in citadel
4: Castles Same as villages with 20% more houses with 3 cobblestone thick wall around it, + has a tower in the middle, 7 archers on the walls, same stats as knights without horse and never move. has better loot then villages spawn rate 1/5 of village, Iron golems don't spawn. many shops.
can go to war with another castle, unlimited distance away.
5: Citadels
same as castle with 60% more houses and houses outside the wall, 5 cobblestone thick wall, + has a huge tower/castle like thing in the middle. has 15 archers on the walls, same stats as knights without horse and never move. has incredibly good loot, Iron golems spawn outside the wall. MAAAANNNY shops. has quarries inside. 10x more spawn rate then stronghold
can go to war with another citadel, unlimited distance away.
6: Pigmen
quite obvious, I don't want testificate wars, I want actual hands to hold a sword
7: Traders
travels between Castles, villages and citadels, rare to find. Have about 6-7 traders with mules/ donkeys. quality of the loot they have = to the place they last visited.
You might say that OMG!!! THIS GONNA CROWD UP MY MC WORLD SO MUUUCHHHHH!!! you still have to realise that unless you actually go looking for this stuff, you'll almost never find it.
and if you're worried about servers, there should always be a "switch off" button with this suggestion
I think this would upset the feel of minecraft, as the whole point of the game, really, is to be alone in the middle of nowhere, Perhaps a few pets to keep you company.
I'll have to say no support, sorry, but this would be quite the mod.

This is a terrible idea, I'm not gonna suger coat it. It dosn't fit into Minecraft at all. I'm not even going to list out the other problems because I will be hear all day but to the OP, ask yourself. In the current state of your post, do you think Mojang will go "This is a great idea! Lets add it to the game!" Honestly ask yourself that question Do you?
Honestly, no. I was just throwing up a couple of Idea (7) and I thought it might be possible for 1 or 2 to be considered. and I wanted other mobs to ride horses and diamond pants
