I was thinking of a way to have more uses for bread itself rather than wheat, so I thought... why don't we have sandwiches!
To make one you put a piece of bread on the very top and bottom, then put your cooked meat in the middle. (They all have to be vertically straight and rafting table is needed) All meat sandwiches all fill 9 hunger points. Stackable up to 64
You're suggestion isn't horrible but is a bit unneeded.
It's no difference in hunger points, but is faster to eat.
It's a little stupid to need a crafting table to put together a piece of meat and 2 slices of bread.
Seriously, though - your suggestion could use more detail, and even if it's been well done it's already been suggested far too many times to count.
BTW, if you want to make suggestions in the future, here's something that can help you out: http://www.minecraft...g-a-suggestion/
Sandwiches would look cool but also sort of pointless as it restores the same amount of food. The only benefit would be that you could eat faster, but that too is not much of a problem.

9 hunger? I guess you meam 9 drumsticks (remember, 1 hunger point = 1/2 drumstick icon), meaning 18 hunger points. And what about Saturation?
#3 Overpowered
Saving time seems all fine and good, but with this, eating it right when you get hungry (when at hunger falls at 19 out of 20 points) would throw your food points right up to 28 (and thats without even counting saturation!), then you really would not have to eat anything for a good long while. It wouldn't just be the best food in the game. It would be the best food by *miles*. Check out the logic inside the foodstuff hunger and saturation list on the http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Food first, ok?
Some balance is needed and 2 obvious ways stand out:
- The food is the best *but* is LESS overall efficient than eating it's components separately, but thats the price to pay to get the best food in the game i.e. the one that you can last with the longest time mining or exploring without constatly being forced to eat.
- Another way is that just like for cookies you actually craft more than one sandwich with the given incredients. A sandwich is not actualy eating a two entire loaves of bread plus an entire steak, it's like eating something that is more closer to made of "some bread and some steak".
Also, lots of players do not like the need to have the crafting table.
I assume by 9 hunger points you mean 9 drumsticks, which is 18 hunger points. This idea is really unnecessary, because...
1.) You need a crafting table to mix two bread and one cooked meat
2.) 1 bread = 2.5 drumsticks / 5 hunger points, and 1 steak = 4 drumsticks / 8 hunger points. 5 + 5 + 8 = 18. Unless you're using cooked chicken (6 hunger points vs the 8 from pork and steak), the amount restored doesn't increase at all.
Basically it's just a tedious thing to make, with no reason to craft it, and also you'd probably waste them. Most people don't wait until they have one drumstick left to eat something, because you stop sprinting at 3 drumsticks left.
What about putting bread in a crafting table and turning it into "Slice of bread" Rather than taking a loaf of bread and putting meat between it, other than that it is not a bad idea, support

First off, you aint to talk, you seem just as new here as the next guy.

Also, lots of players do not like the need to have the crafting table.
Instead, we should do it more like this:
Data:
1 Bread = 5 hunger + 6 saturation = 11 total
1 Steak = 8 hunger + 12.8 saturation = 20.8 total
Sandwich - Shapeless Recipe:
1 Bread + 1 Steak = 2 Sandwich
Half of ( 1 Bread + 1 Steak ) = 6.5 hunger + 9.4 saturation = 15.9 total
1 Sandwich = 7 hunger + 9.6 saturation = 16.6 total
So, it would be slightly better than it's component ingredients.
But it would still not the best food in the game.
Nothing beats solid meat!

OT: This has been suggested before.
